The pictures of the hotel show that it is standing alone but this is not true, it has been built out and is surrounded by buildings and shops. It was very close to the old quarter (only a minute walk to the outskirts) and the Hoan Kiem Lake (three to five minute walk). The food was excellent and the staff extremely helpful. Although the top floor was under construction and being renovated at the time of our stay, the staff coped well with the situation. The room was extremely quiet which was excellent.
