Even if it had been dry, the room was essentially windowless (the only window faced the inner staircase), so I’m giving a slightly lower rating for this. \*\*Breakfast\*\* The hotel's breakfast offered a good balance between Vietnamese dishes and continental options, and I enjoyed it every day. \*\*Location\*\* Within walking distance of Hanoi Station, making it convenient to use the airport bus (No. 86) departing from the station. They were helpful and held our bags at checkout because we had a late train. The room was small and the bathroom was not very private, both the toilet and shower had clear glass doors adjacent to the bed. We had some issues with the hot water in our shower. The water to the hotel was shut off without notice twice for several hours. The area is much quieter than the old quarter and is a very quick walk to the train station. The kitchen was located amongst the guest rooms so every morning the room smelled very strongly of cooking food. Often when the AC was on the room would smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was only fresh if you went right when it was put out at 7am and there was often very little remaining by 8:30-9am.
