The breakfast bar was very clean and the variety of good was great!

The A/C was pretty poor, and could easily be upgraded. The elevator is filthy, but that's not terribly important to me. The most important suggestion I have? Please put decals on the tub bottom, or provide an in-tub bathmat. It's really slippery, and there are no grab-bars/handles inside the tub/shower. If only for your own protection, i.e. getting sued for a slip-and-fall, I think it would be in everyone's best interests to take care of that. A woman named Miracle, who was on duty at check-in, was wonderful. She's a great employee! The bed was pretty nice, the sheets were clean and crisp, which was much appreciated. The provision of a toothbrush/paste, mouthwash, razor, shampoo, soap and lotion were great. Thank you. The doors slam loudly if left to shut on their own (as opposed to the exiting guest or housekeeper shutting them), and I was woken up NUMEROUS times, for several hours before my alarm went off. I don't know how you could possibly address that, but it was very annoying. I realize this is a budget hotel, and I tried to keep that in mind when commenting above. Thanks for reading this. Again, the potential for a slip-and-fall in the tub is HIGH, and that's the most important feedback I have.

Liked situation!

The Pierre is historic, located directly East of Central Park, and seemingly maintains a five star rating for precisely those attributes. The attractively priced suites are all interior facing on dimly lit lower floors. Don't expect to be upgraded for sunlight and a view without paying double. Also, room rates with 'breakfast included' have a restaurant credit, not a hotel credit. Ordering from the in-room breakfast menu simply to take advantage of my 'perk' resulted in hundreds of dollars in disputable charges. My membership in Taj's loyalty program resulted in zero benefits, which is a bit surprising as the company only operates two properties in North America.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom first 3 nights then moved to a 1 bedroom with balcony for 2 nights. Both rooms were clean but furniture was worn, torn and couch in 1 room had disgusting stains. In the 2 bedroom we did use a rollaway also which was the most uncomfortable rollaway I’ve ever slept on by far. For the most part the staff was very nice! Really liked the housekeeper Ana, the front desk check-in ; even though had small mishaps and the restaurant staff were all incredibly friendly but my call with the concierge on the first day of my check-in was beyond rude. I can easily say that I will not be staying here again!
