We stopped by for a bed for the night while driving through Germany. The family rooms are spacious and have A/C, which seems to be common with B&B hotels. We arrived late, so there was no parking available when came. Fortunately we had an electric car and there was a charging spot available, but else we would have had trouble.

Compared with other B&B’s we have been, this one is average. The issue we had was a stinky smell (fecal matter) in our bathroom. They changed us to a different room on the 6th floor and it was better but still not completely gone. We guess they have a plumbing problem. The staff front desk were kind and helpful. The hotel is located about 30 mins via train (S1 & U3) from central station. The Habichtsrabe station is only few feet from the hotel and there is a nice coffee/bakery before you go the station. We also found an Aldi and a wash center in a walking distance. Rewe which is other place to get food (better supermarket than Aldi) is near to Barmbek station. They have a parking lot and it seems a lot of regular workers (electricians, techs) book in this hotel. The area where is located is safe during day hours (we didn’t go after 7 pm) and it is far from the city center and attractions in Hamburg (36 mins on the train). Finally our room faces a soccer court.

This hotel feels more like a hostel. The rooms are very small, with hardly any place to stow away your luggage, let alone to open them (other than on the bed!). There are hardly any hanger for wet towels and the bathroom is so small and closed that tyhey would not be able to dry anyway. Breakfast at about 14 Euros was, however, quite good.

Would stay here again if we need a place to sleep in Hamburg and are just passing by. Chose this hotel as it was more reasonable than hotels closer to downtown and we only needed a clean bed and a shower in safe surroundings before continuing our travels. Bus departing right outside the hotel towards the airport where we had our car parked in P11. We were are family of four that shared a room. We all had backpacks. If you all have medium to large suitcases the room might feel a little small. Parking seemed full, so might want to call ahead if arriving by car where one can park if the lot is full.

Amazing staff! We accidentally left a precious stuffed animal and they were very quick to respond to my email and help me get it shipped back to Ireland! Lovely place to stay, great breakfast and fantastic location. Would stay again!

If you like to have breakfast and didn't pay for it when made your reservation, you need to let them know the night before, otherwise you can't have breakfast even paying that morning because they calculate the breakfast by the number of reservations.
