We missed the check in time by 2 mins, but someone answered the phone and let us in. We slept on soft beds. Had hot showers, ate a wonderful breakfast and headed on our way. It was great!

The breakfast was amazing, and the highlights of that in there. First, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, for the entire week me and my wife got maybe two hours of sleep every night, tossing and turning due to feeling all the wood and springs underneath. They never actually cleared or clean the courtyard right in front of my room yet had parties on the weekend. The lack of staff after the 12 noon was a little ridiculous. I took this trip to go to a friend‘s wedding coming from America. The fact that there was no air-conditioning at all was a life-changing experience. As it over 75° outside all the time you would think in a hotel air-conditioned will be required.

Check-in war unkompliziert. Zimmerkarte lag auf dem Empfangstresen, vorab gab es aber auch noch einen nutzbaren Zimmercode. Das Zimmer ist klein, aber nett eingerichtet, nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, aber für einen Kurzurlaub vollkommen gut. Es gab sogar einen Ventilator auf dem Zimmer. Frühstück war von allem möglichen was da und reichlich. Leider schmeckte mir der Kaffee nicht so gut, aber das ist ja persönliches empfinden. Auf den Tischen stand noch länger das schmutzige Geschirr, allerdings verständlich, da es scheinbar nur eine Kraft für den Küchenbereich gab. Einen Parkplatz zur späteren Stunde an der Straße zu bekommen, ist allerdings etwas schwierig. Bei uns war es ein mehr als super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Schönes ruhiges Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Personal. Kontakt im Vorfeld war sehr angenehm, wir konnten das Gepäck schon aufs Zimmer bringen bevor es bezugsfertig war. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr sauber.

Leider war der TV Empfang nur unzureichend, keine öffentlich rechtlichen Sender empfangbar und ständige Abbrüche bei den restlichen Sendern. Laut Eigentümer ist dort aber bereits eine neue Anlage in Arbeit.

Wenn man berücksichtigt, dass zur Zeit des Aufenthaltes in Bamberg alles doppelt bis dreifach so teuer war, war das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis gut. Die Lage war wie erwartet, auch mit ÖPNV schnell an alles angebunden. Unser Zimmer war auf der anderen Straßenseite in einem älteren Nebengebäude. Es war schon hellhörig, was gerade nachts störend sein kann. Dass es rustikaler war, war kein Problem, die Sauberkeit war allerdings durchaus verbesserungswürdig, worauf auch hingewiesen wurde. Die für unseren Geschmack zu weiche Matratze, das schwache WLAN und der Fernseher ohne HD Sender sehe ich als Luxusproblem, könnte aber grundsätzlich besser sein. Theoretisch war sogar eine Kochnische mit Kühlschrank vorhanden, ob man diese bei Bedarf nutzen könnte, weiß ich aber nicht.
