We spent one night at this lovely b&b and they upgraded us to the Thomas Suite for no charge. Lovely little place with an amazing view and balcony, and easy to get to downtown Halifax! Definitely recommend

Lovely place to stay.The restaurant was very good .One thing that was a bit bothersome to me since I am sensitive to scents was the bedding had to much dryer sheet scent .I opened the patio door and placed the bedding outside for the scent to dissapate.

The room was very clean and nicely decorated with a great view of the lake from the balcony. However, it was located on a very busy street which made it difficult to get in and out of the parking area as well as to sleep at night due to the traffic noise.

We arrived in the evening to find that we needed the code to enter. We called the number on the door and received a text with all the instructions for entry! Lovely room with lots of accents and knicknacks. Soft comfortable bed and lots of hot water. There was a restaurant on site with very good pub food. Great restful one night stay after 8 hours in flight.

Staying at the Fourth Lock was very convenient for us, as we needed a place close to the airport where we could do a late check-in. We weren't looking for anything fancy, but this was great! Parking was easy and so was finding the place. The only slightly complaint I had was that by the looks of the parking lot, there weren't many other people staying in the inn that night, but the room directly above us had people in it.. this made for a disruptive sleep as we woke up every time they woke up to use the bathroom! Overall, comfy bed and a good price so I would probably stay again if I need a convenient stay in the Halifax airport area.

The property was very nice. The bar was wonderful with very friendly staff and the food was delicious. The room was very clean and the take away breakfast was great! The fridge in the common room was well stocked with juice and yogourt for extra choices. We will definitely be back!

The place has 2 bedrooms. It was a little tight for 6 people but using the futon in the hallway worked well. We needed gluten free breakfast and the host provided that. Nice stay. Great balcony views!

Quaint small B&B, very clean with lots of extra toiletries. No contact with owners as breakfast left in fridge and entry by keypad. Needs better exterior lighting for late arrivals. I would suggest a bed replacement for the Fletcher room as it has no support and is on the ground. Also, very noisy when room on 2nd floor is occupied.

A great welcome to the Maratimes at the Fourth Lock B&B! Fabulous atmosphere and beautiful view! The restaurant staff was so helpful and the room (Thomas) was spacious enough for our family of 5. Our three teenagers were raving about how cute and aesthetic this place was! Easy self check in process and the games, juices and coffee from the common area were a great touch! Wish we could have stayed longer.
