It resides close to Point Pleasant Park, the area is tree laden and gorgeous. While I was there, the cafeteria was open, along with a coffee shop with breakfast options, and a convenience store, among other options. I especially loved the staff working at the main desk 24/7\. So lovely and kind. One more note, everything was so very clean. There were fans due to the heat wave, and the area was convenient to walk to downtown - probably about 25 minutes. The beds were comfortable and the view took in the Halifax harbour. You also got a birds eye view of the athletics field and we were treated to several mens league soccer games. Kind of a cool element. The shared bathroom was clean and there was a separate single shower room. There were few people in our pod but there was never a wait for the facilities. The only negative points were: One of the elevators opened reluctantly and we learned to avoid it in case we got trapped; and the hallway to our pod of rooms had the feel of a prison - low security prison to be sure, but there was a vibe. That said the whoe experience was quite nice. There's laundry facilities readily available on another floor. Parking is right outside the building.
