This historic cottage converted from a Speakeasy, sleeps 4 close friends or family members comfortably. This space works for a party of close and intimate relations. The main space is a studio-type layout with kitchenette, toilet, shower and queen bed. The loft also has a queen size bed. Large patio, outdoor swing and fireplace make this cottage an ideal place to relax. Beach is about 500 yards through the neighborhood. One thing to note is this place doesn’t have much privacy. The studio is compact but perfect for two. The bed was very comfortable after hours of exploring between HMB and Santa Cruz. The private backyard was so pretty with beautiful succulents. It was just as described. It was super close to a dog, friendly beach, 15 minute walk or a very short drive to the parking lot for the beach. The Coastal Trail is also at the beach, if you want to take a nice walk along the coast with beautiful views! Hosts are very friendly and responsive. Quickly gave recommendations upon request. The cabin had everything we needed for our short stay. We appreciated all the little touches that made our stay even nicer. Clean,quiet and comfortable. A nice short walk to the gorgeous Poplar Beach. The only thing we could have used was a grill.. Other than that we were very happy. Perfect for a couple. Loved the peaceful decor and airy feel. We didn’t use the upstairs loft with just two of us, but it would have worked well if we brought children or grandchildren. Very pet friendly— dog bed, water dish, and dog towels provided. Having a private deck and private fenced yard set it apart from a hotel room. Lovely landscaping. The owners live next door but other than a very pleasant casual conversation when we crossed paths in the driveway, we didn’t see another soul. Would definitely return. ##### Kristen P.
