The Jasmine House is a deluxe studio house with a full granite kitchen, Balinese decor, King bed, entertainment system, fireplace, front and back attached patios and a private landscaped garden with lily pond and exquisite statues. Enjoy your own private hot tub with an outdoor shower. At the end of the private landscape is a stunning ocean view deck wonderful for stargazing and sunrises. All of this sits on 7.5 acres of lush tropical beauty known as Hale Akua Garden Farm. Aside from the Jasmine House's private amenities, all guests of Hale Akua are welcome to enjoy our property amenities; 60-foot saltwater swimming pool with beautiful surroundings you can cool off or exercise in after exploring the many wonderful attractions Maui has to offer, a large viewing deck with hot tub and infra-red sauna that sits on the cliff-edge with a stunning oceanview and magical sunsets, beautifully manicured gardens perfect for meditation and access to our community farm fridge where you can purchase organic fruits and vegetables grown right here on our farm. If you or your family are looking for a unique farm vacation and a great place to relax away from big resorts, Hale Akua Garden Farm is the place for you! Our retreat facility is bathed in ocean trade winds and negative ions from the 150-foot waterfall just below us. Very healthy fresh air! The moon and stars are gorgeous at night due to the lack of light pollution. In addition to being an active farm, Hale Akua is a unique sanctuary for rest and relaxation. You will have a chance to dive deeper into what inspires you, to open, relax, rejuvenate, learn and connect in a place of spectacular natural beauty. Everyone who stays with us is welcome to book a tour of our organic farm for $25\. Farm tour needs to be booked at least 24 hours in advance with our office staff. There is a 5-night minimum stay during the holiday season, Christmas/New Year. Free onsite parking. Guest have access to the eco-retreat facilities which include the large saltwater pool, hot tub overlooking the ocean, kitchen, and dining area. Guests can also get guidance on what is great to visit by looking through our guidebook in their room or asking for help at the office. Office is open Mon - Sun from 9am - 5pm. We also provide an after-hours phone if you need anything outside these hours. Upon your booking, we provide you with a Welcome Booklet that includes local recommendations and anything else you may be wondering about before and during your stay. Note: Please keep in mind, our center is a rustic compound in the middle of the jungle. We do have de-humidifiers and air purifiers in every room as well as air conditioning units for when it is hot. We are centered in a tropical rainforest with many weird and wonderful insect species. We only use natural pesticides and cleaning chemicals on the property. As a result, we occasionally have more animal visitors. These may include geckos, ants, flying cockroaches, centipedes, cane spiders, and mice. We are in their natural habitat, so we will not be able to refund any portion of your stay for these house guests. Price listed includes cleaning fees and extra coffee, tea, and cream if needed in the room. {ABOUT HALE AKUA} Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco-Retreat Center is an agricultural and wellness education and retreat center located in Haʻikū, Maui. Nestled in a magical and idyllic setting, Hale Akua is thoughtfully designed to provide a natural, supportive environment for groups, families, couples, and individuals to learn, relax, and restore well-being while immersing themselves in an eco-educational experience in Hawaii. Hale Akua offers farm-based and wellness education and experiential learning, accommodations, and organic and seasonal produce from our land. Accommodations are available for those seeking overnight lodging with an intention of an immersive education and experiential learning experience about farm and wellness. Hale Akua provides agricultural and wellness classes and retreats, as well as serving as a learning center for leadership development programs for visitors, students and local community. Additional offerings include communication training, meditation, and personal development programs. Furthermore, wellness classes and workshops such as yoga, breathwork, and meditation, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices are also offered weekly or monthly. The mission of Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco-Retreat Center is to provide a beautiful and nurturing environment for experiential learning, healing, rejuvenation, personal growth, and inner peace for all its visitors and students. Our office is open Mon - Sun from 9am - 5pm. We also provide an after-hours phone if you need anything outside these hours. The solar electric system at Hale Akua currently consists of 200 solar panels, 12 inverters, and 24 solar batteries. Our founder Lori Grace has invested in this system to prevent unnecessary contributions to climate change. This solar electric system will add another two days of electricity, provided there has been an adequate amount of sunlight charge before an electrical outage. We also have 10 Eco-Flow batteries (3kw electricity per room) which can add two to three days of electricity if needed. Learning to live on limited electricity is a wonderful and necessary education for our current climate situation. We would like for all our guests to learn to work together with our staff in these situations. Large hotels here on Maui that experience an electrical failure do not provide backup power, nor do they offer refunds. It is quiet, very private, and an amazing experience. The garden behind the cottage is private, and yours alone. The overlook is extremely peaceful, with a view of the ocean. We made use of the organic farm's store, which was stocked with eggs, fruits, and vegetables.
