They were helpful and did their best with us being English Speakers. The hotel is on a hilltop outside of town, so the views are fantastic, but it is not near a station. The pond just down the road is beautiful, there are fish you can feed, and hawks that will also eat the bread if you throw it up instead of in the pond. The hotel's public bath is really relaxing and quiet.
