"After reading some bad reviews I was a little sceptical about here but to my delight I was very happy n amazed at the lodge we stayed in very clean had everything needed. My only gripe isn’t the cottage owners fault but that of hotels.com as this properly was listed as reserve now pay on arrival but the money left my account within seconds of booking. We were not aware but we had booked the 'Romantic Package'- bottle of bubbly waiting for us and a box of chocolates, a lovely surprise. Delightful room with 4 poster bed. I chose this hotel as I fancied a change from the B&B's I usually stop in when in the area. What a great choice that was the Staff were really nice and very helpful, the room was very clean and well furnished the food in the Bar area was really good. Wifi was fast as I had work to do. The TV had movies available to watch as this was a smart TV. Well Done Mayfield. Excellent place and I would stop again without any question.

Our host, Rebecca, is obviously passionate about the guest experience. The Cordelia is a magnificent period property full of charm and warmth. The room was amazing - being roomy and well presented with period furniture, quality bedding and towels. The breakfast was probably the best we've had, made with top quality ingredients. Very welcoming, we had booked a small room with sea view but were upgraded to a large room. Everying was spot on with two comfortable chairs in a large bay window allowing us to sit and take in an absolutely superb panoramic view of the South Bay and headland. The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast superb with an excellent choice and the staff very friendly. I really am struggling to find anything to to complain about, however trivial! Would thoroughly recommend.
