Osprey Guest Cottage Perdido Beach: no crowds traffic condominiums or elevators!

  • Osprey Cottage
    If you want to escape the crowds, condominium congestion, horrible traffic and delays, elevator waits,noise and lack of privacy, you will surely prefer and enjoy a memorable stay in our one bedroom, one bath beachfront cottage. Our modern waterfront guest cottage in the mouth of Soldiers Creek is a perfect couple's retreat with magnificent views of the mouth of Soldiers Creek and Perdido Bay. This wonderful getaway provides great swimming with a sandy bottom and a beautiful pier with safe dockage available for small or larger boats up to 30 feet in length. Weekly or monthly availability at a 10% discount. Our nightly rate is $130 per night. The rate drops to $120 per night October 1st-March 1st. Minimum stay is 4 nights. We have a $20 per night charge for boat moorage due upon arrival.
    Osprey Cottage is secluded in Perdido Beach, Alabama, but only 20 minutes from all Gulf Beaches, national seashores, horrible traffic and the crowds and 15 minutes to outlet shopping, water and theme parks. This property is available year round. Our shared family pier is great for fishing, crabbing , watching dolphins, osprey, herons and an occasional bald eagle play and feed. It is a true nature lovers paradise. We have two paddle boards for exploring and fishing. Nothing surpasses watching beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine. Wonderful relaxation awaits you on your next vacation! While you will prefer being outside at Perdido Beach, internet driven NEW Samsung 40” Smart TV and Wifi are available for work and rainy days. It is the perfect, quiet and romantic get away!

Perfect vacation in a perfect cabin in the bay! The communication with the owner was fantastic. He even left us a little celebration gift. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with great views. We enjoyed fishing and catching crabs. We will return in the future.

We love this place. It was our second trip here. It is peaceful and quiet. We fished, kayaked, and enjoyed watching the dolphins. I highly reccommend staying here.

Great Cottage

Amazing cottage right on the water. Really cozy and perfect for a couple. Close enough to visit perdido and orange beach, but far enough out to be tranquil and relaxing. It was our first visit but it won’t be our last!

We had a great visit at "Osprey cottage". we stayed for 2 weeks, and had everything we needed. Did a lot of fishing, and caught over 40 fish. Great for bird watching, osprey and dolphins every day. I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the crowds

Beautiful views from the cabin and the dock. Peaceful sounds of birds and no traffic. Close enough to favorite beaches and dining but you probably don’t want to out every meal. Fully functional kitchen and a charcoal grill. Sun and shade both available on property. Gracious and helpful host are close by.

Quiet Hideaway

The perfect place to enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay! The cottage was just perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed the quaint atmosphere of this location. Having the dock was perfect for early morning and evening fishing. "Fred" the blue heron was such fun! The sunrises and sunsets were stunning. Walter was a fabulous host, making sure all our needs were met!

Another great vacation in Perdido Beach !

This is our 7th stay in the Osprey Cottage! Obviously we really like it here. Peaceful and very quiet except for boats and wildlife at this time of year. We have become friendly with some of the locals and the owner and have gotten to know the area! This is one of our “happy places “!! Perfect place for a couple regardless of age.

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing environment after spending time at the beach. Everything was just as described on VRBO sight as well as all the previous reviews. Walter was great. Gave you plenty of privacy but was extremely responsive if you had questions, etc.

Wonderful place to rest and reset!

We loved this cottage and area. My daughter and I both wanted an out of the way spot to rest and reset, and this place was ideal. Close enough to get to area restaurants in Foley, Orange Beach, Pensacola or on the causeway leading to Mobile. We sunned on the dock and watched the boats. Next time I will bring my kayak and fishing gear although Walter and family would have helped with both we were just having too much fun. Will be back.

Leave the crowds behind

Property was exactly as described and was just beautiful. The home was so well stocked we could have not even brought anything but our clothing! The dolphin watching was a high point. They are right there at the pier. Pensacola, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Johnson Beach all about 30 mins from this quiet oasis. Worth it! Avoid the crowds and be welcomed by Walter and his family. You won’t be disappointed.

Doesn't get much better than the Osprey Guest Cottage!

The views were spectacular. The wildlife was amazing. We made friends with a Great Blue Heron who came to visit and nap by us on the dock every day. Of course he just wanted my shrimp and cut bait. We saw dolphins daily. Caught some fish on the dock. The cabin was decorated well and very comfortable with all the amenities one could ask for, including really good wifi speeds. The place was so peaceful and quiet that it fit the bill 100% for someone who wants privacy, nature and a relaxing time. Walter was a great host and makes sure his guests are pleased and comfortable with their stay. The bed was nice and firm, similar to expensive 5 star resort mattresses. That was a plus as I've had two neck surgeries in the past. My past injury did not bother me once! The wife and I will be coming back for sure! We were sad to leave.

Osprey Cottage

This little cottage is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy time together. The bed was super comfortable, as was all the furniture. Looked almost new. The kitchen was tiny, but serviceable. It is not a luxury abode, but we did not expect that. It was so nice to not have tons of people around. There are other homes nearby, but they are not on top of each other. I hear there is a lot of construction in this area, and a home 3 down was having a pier constructed, which was noisy. My husband spent almost the whole time fishing and was a little disappointed in his success, but maybe timing is everything. Sitting on the porch chairs watching the bay and sunset was so peaceful and lovely. The location is not very close to anything, which is part of its charm, but be advised that it’s 30-45 minutes to get anywhere. I would recommend this cottage. I brought books and a sketch pad to relax.
