The house name has changed from Seabreeze to Dreamscicle!

This charming three-story four bedroom, three-full-bath beach house offers close to 2,545 square feet of living space, 2 porches, and a convenient one-car garage with a golf cart. A sun deck with a built-in sandbox has been built directly off of the screened porch for your enjoyment.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room with surround sound TV, dining room and fully appointed kitchen with eat-in breakfast area, refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. In addition to the main living areas downstairs, there is a very private master suite and one guest bedroom with a full bath.

On the second floor, you’ll discover two additional guest bedrooms and one full bath as well as stair access to a large crow’s nest with a trundle bed. As of 2024, there was an air conditioning vent installed in the crows nest. Other features include 9 and 10-foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and lots of storage areas.

Great Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful experience staying at Seabreeze. The house was very spacious and everything was in great order. Kitchen was well stocked. Our kids loved the crows nest area. The six seat golf cart was ideal for us, and location across from the mid pool worked out perfectly. Only complaint was the master bed and twins beds were pretty hard for us. Also someone from maintenance needed to access the home while we were at the beach. That was perfectly fine, but would have appreciated a call or text letting us know they would be accessing the home. It scared our kids when they got back to the house ahead of us and there was a "stranger" inside. Just a suggestion for what it's worth... We love Martinique though, and can't wait to come back.

The Beach Club’s grill next door was so convenient and really good. Lots of arcade games for the kids and a great menu and beer selection... other than that, we hunkered down and enjoyed the beach and pool the whole time. Loved the bikes and 6 seater golf cart with this house too.

Poor Conditions

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is up for sale so no updates were performed by the owner. The furniture is old, the floors were dirty, the internet was not working, the pots and pans were useless, the screened in porch was not usable, the crows nest was so hot no one could sleep there, the beach chairs were broken, no beach towels were provided. We had to purchase a frying pan, beach chairs and beach towels. We will not stay in this unit again.

Reviewer Comments: Our house Dreamscicle had many issues: furniture in living room very worn; the cleaning service had done a poor job - grass in bathtub; internet did not work; garbage disposal did not work; sink did not drain properly; back porch furniture was too dirty to sit on; screen was torn; golf cart would not charge. When I finally had enough and discussed with property management they did credit me back cleaning fee. We generally like the property and beach access/pool. We just had a bad house. Would recommend Martinique - not this house.

I will say that this house was very nice and clean. It states it sleeps 12, but it really only sleeps 8. The 4 bedrooms each sleep 2. The crows nest could sleep an addition 2 people, but there is no way anyone could sleep there. It was 84 degrees in the crows nest at 7am and there is no AC up there. The temp outside was not that high, but on the 3rd floor it is terrible. There are no sofabeds so not sure how they they it sleeps anymore than 10 with the crows nest. That was very disappointing. We had to bring the mattresses down from the crows nest and put it on the family room floor to sleep 2 people. We had 11 people in our party so that caused so issues

This was our second stay at this property. Definite improvements were noted . All appliances worked well. Refrigerator was new. Ice maker worked flawlessly. Carpets were new. Interior of the house was well kept. (6 Person) Golf cart had issues. Rear seat was (rotten) broken and unusable. Maintenance repaired it after 2 days. During our two encounters concerning the golf cart, The maintenance person doing the repair was tough to communicate with as he seemed to be having a perpetual “bad day”.We also had an issue with door hardware when we checked in. This issue, handled by a different maintenance person, was resolved approx. 30 min. after we check in.Bottom line is:Great vacation experience. We’ll be back.

Not What you pay for?

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival at security, the guard wasn't that welcoming but gave us the info we needed. 15 minutes after walking inside the home we noticed how dirty the floors were by seeing the bottom of our feet. My wife brought to my attention how dirty the air return vents were. There was a very musty odor upstairs and we had to spend money and time cleaning and freshening up the place. Which I thought was why couldn't check in until 5PM. The pictures on the website are a little miss-leading. The two red recliners are not like the picture. They look "leather" but were actually cloth with pet air all over them. The couch was obviously worn as well as the mattress in the MB along with very low water pressure. There was very little in the way of pots, pans, etc. to cook with. Now, overall, the house was nice. We did like the location in relation to the pool and beach access. I did like the security aspect. I think the owner should be their own guest and ask if this is what they would expect for $3500 for a week. I travel for work a lot and all the hotels were cleaner than this house was. I was refunded my cleaning fee since we had to clean. We would come back to Martinique but would not stay at or recommend Dreamscicle at this time.

Living the Dream

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Martinique and have stayed in a number of houses here. Dreamscicle did not disappoint. There was plenty of room for our family of 11! Living room seating was comfortable and wifi worked well. We loved the large refrigerator with a large bottom freezer to accommodate ice for those hot days. The kitchen was well stocked with anything one would need to cook or do food prep (except a cutting board--we didn't find one). The bedrooms on the first two floors were comfortable and well appointed. We loved the screened porch area and backyard complete with brick sandbox for our little ones. We also enjoyed using the 6-person golf cart. There are plenty of beach toys, beach chairs, and bikes. The house had lots of storage areas inside including pantry and closets (there were no hangers in the master but we left some). The location is perfect--so close to the indoor pool and not far from the beach. Two negatives--the third floor crow's next with trundle bed was unbearably hot. The owners have provided many fans but even with them, we had to rearrange our sleeping arrangements since it was just too hot. Perhaps one of those small AC units would make this a useable space in the heat of the summer. The second negative, which has probably already been addressed as we told management, the new carpet on the stairwell had some exposed carpet tacks and the carpet on one step would slip. The grill worked great too. All in all, we enjoyed our time in Dreamscicle and would recommend it

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had traveled to Alabama for the Samford/Auburn football game and decided to spend the week with friends in Gulf Shores. Having stayed previously at Martinique we chose it again and were not disappointed. The house, Seabreaze, was a great size for eight of us, especially with two bedrooms with king beds on the lower level. It was also very nicely appointed with all the kitchen utensils, glassware and other items needed. Also, we appreciated all the bikes and other items to use outdoors, as well as the screened in porch where we enjoyed dinners and morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

First time disappointed

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed at Martinique six times over the last few years and I will continue to vacation there but I cannot highly recommend Seabreeze to stay at. It is outdated and needs to be cleaned from top to bottom, mattresses need replaced in all rooms and the carpet is disgusting! The doors and furniture were all very dirty and almost felt sticky. Several of the dishes were filthy. I'd give this house a 1 out of ten with 10 being the best. Although you can complain within one hour of check-in, this was not enough time to find all of these things and it really wasn't something a cleaning service could have fixed. My granddaughter crawled on the floor right after check-in and her knees and feet were turned black with dirt. My brother stayed in Bella Vue next door which we have also stayed in. It was 100 times better! Sorry for the negative review but I expected much better for the price!
