The hotel is very well located at 5 min walk from the beach. The area is nice with a good tree coverage that protect from the afternoon sun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arrange the taxi for us for the day we were leaving. The food was very good at the restaurant and we liked the view from the restaurant looking at the see. There is a good breeze in the evening. The room and shower were clean and very spacious. Recommended if you want to visit this area

Very private little huts were great in a beautiful setting. Home cooked meals on sight. Staff happily arranged for our transfer. Lots of very steep roads and walkways with steps in the area if youre walking including at the resort. Resort has scooters for rent. Only a 5 min walk to Haad Yao beach. Food available all along the beach.

A quiet secluded retreat on what can be an otherwise crazy island. The host was wonderful and the main reason we would come back to stay here. We didn't stay much in the actual room but it had the basics we needed and was comfortable.

Quiet hotel on the beach
The rooms were spotless, no bugs, the air conditioning was good and the wifi was good. It's right on the beach so you can go for a walk, and it has some nice places to hang out by the pool with shade. The pool is pretty nice as well. Small hotel with only like 4 or 5 rooms, so it's pretty quiet. The host was very accomodating and helpful. It's an ideal place to stay to relax and enjoy the area.

Great hotel, would recommend to stay here
Lovely place to stay with really friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend hiring a bike from them as it is the easiest way to get around the island. Some lovely beaches and restaurants nearby although the food at the hotel is also very good and well priced. Room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay here and would recommend it.

Highly recommend!
We had a great time here, the beach is close by, the room was perfect and the staff were lovely. We hired a scooter from the hotel and it was very cheap and honest (apparently hard to find the honest part in Koh Phangan). Highly recommend Sun Moon Star we would book again. Thank you for a perfect stay.

very nice hotel
only spent 3 nights here as they were fully booked for 4 it was the best 3 nights of our entire 3 weeks holiday so peaceful and relaxing superb sunsets from the hotel restaurant the villas were very nice and exceptionally clean the staff were very friendly and full of excellent advice would recommend hiring a scooter from the hotel the food and smoothies are very good would recommend staying at this hotel and resort hope to visit again one day best island we visited paul and michelle england

Stayed for 5 nights over Xmas. The rooms were a very high standard for the price we paid. The breakfast was lovely with a good range of choices. The Hotel is set among tropical trees and on a steep hillside. It's a lovely setting. The real stars were the owners who were very attentive but without being overbearing. We had a ower outage in our room and she called out a technician to fix it. Only took about an hour to fix but in that time we got complementary Fruit shakes and she stretched an extension cable to our room so we could have a fan and charge phones etc. The walk to the beach is no more than 50 yards - but it's a steep one when returning to the room. I would deffinitely stay here again without hesitation!

Amazing stay at a great hotel
We had a wonderful 3 nights at the Sun,Moon, Star Resort. The rooms are spacious and modern. The owners are so helpful with lots of ideas to help you get the best from your stay. The nearby beach has sand like talcum powder and it was so quiet while we were there. We recommend you try the food too - it was fantastic.

Gorgeous room with great wifi. Staff were welcoming and always offered a great service. They were always helpful with our questions about the island and Thailand in general. The food was great, I can't believe the breakfast was free with the room!! We'd been travelling a month before we got here and all other hotels offering the free breakfast were disappointing. This hote does not disappoint on any level! Short walk to the beach which is beautiful and if you do fancy food else where, there are a lot of alternatives down at the beach with lovely views. Full moon party is a 30/40 minute drive away but the hotel can sort out transport. Overall lovely stay, lovely staff and would highly recommend and definitely stay here again

Very friendly and helpful stuff. We got an upgrade with see view for free. Big, comfortable rooms. Each day cleaned. 6 min away from beach. Renting a motorbike directly at the resort possible. The reception supported us also with the taxi and boat transfer. An unforgetable pleasant stay.

Das Zimmer war sehr groß, schön und sauber. Hatte Mikrowelle, Safe und eine Sitzecke, es gab auch einen Balkon. Kühlschrank mit 2 Wasserflaschen.Frühstück war auch sehr gut, sowie das Restaurant war sehr gemütlich. Das Personal war super nett. Nicht so schön fand ich, dass die Tür nicht wirklich abgeschlossen war, sondern einen kleinen Spalt hatte. TV hat nicht funktioniert. Draußen waren richtig viele Moskitos.

雖然離滿月趴有點遠,但老闆娘人真的超好的,非常有正義感,因為我們在帕岸島上被機車texi載騙了2000元,老闆娘知道後還堅持帶我們去報警,又帶我們去搭船,真的是熱情人又很善良的一家旅館,另外房間也是很乾淨,在房間就可以看到海了!

Nach 5 Tagen auf Koh Tao wollten wir noch 6 Tage auf Koh Phangan verbringen. Das Sun Moon Star hat alles geboten was ich erwartet hatte und hat sich um alle Anliegen gekümmert. Sehenswert ist auf jeden Fall der Nachbarstrand Haad Salad, ansonsten sollte man sich einen Roller mieten und über die Insel düsen. es gibt genügend gute Essensmöglichkeiten, Tripadvisor hilft an dieser Stelle weiter. Das Meer ist an der Westküste definitiv ruhiger als an der Ostküste.

Wunderbarer Familienbetrieb in wunderbarer Lage
Vom ersten Moment habe ich mich willkommen und sehr wohl gefühlt. Meine erste Thailand-Erfahrung ist auch Dank 'SunMoonSun' wundervoll gewesen. Personliche Widmung von allen, authentische frische lebendige Energie; man spürt, dass sie lieben was sie tun. 'Fun und On' sind das Herz des Resorts und engagieren sich 100% für was sie tun. Man kann sich auf sie verlassen und alles fragen; die Informationen sind immer ausführlich und begründet. Es eignet sich eventuell nicht für Leute die ständig 'Extrawünsche' haben, es handelt sich um einen Familienbetrieb und dies sollte man wissen und respektieren. Dennoch kann man alles fragen und wenn immer möglich, wird eine Lösung gesucht und gefunden. Ich reiste alleine und hatte immer wieder lustige Unterhaltungen mit 'Fon' und 'On'.

Wunderbare Unterkunft
Ich war nun bereits zum vierten Mal im Sun Moon Star Resort. Die Betreiberfamilie freut sich jedes Jahr wie verrückt über meine Ankunft und hilft einem in jeder Situation. Die Bungalows gehören zu den schönsten auf Koh Phangan und werden jeden Tag einwandfrei geputzt und frische Handtücher bereit gelegt. Die Motor-Roller, die man beim Resort mieten kann sind von der neusten Generation. Ich kann das Resort weiterhin uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Il Sun Moon Star è sulla baia di Haad Yao, non ha accesso diretto al mare ma vi si arriva in 5 minuti a piedi ed è possibile anche andare al mare a piedi a Secret Beach in circa 20 minuti. Le casette sono nuove, ristrutturate da poco e c'è tutto il necessario per un gradevole soggiorno. Le proprietarie sono gentili ed offrono anche il servizio lavanderia, di cui abbiamo usufruito. Molto pulito l'appartamento e comodo il letto. Sull'isola e anche nei dintorni della struttura sono presenti diversi cani, non costituiscono un problema ma mia moglie ne è spaventata per cui non è piacevole camminare qualche volta con l'ansia.

Mukava paikka lähellä Haad yao-rantaa. Ruoka loistavaa eikä kovin kallista. Noin viiden minuutin matka todella hienolle hiekkarannalle. 7/11 kävelyetäisyydellä. Rauhalliset huoneet, hyvä ilmastointi ja pimennysverhot. Kaikinpuolin hyvä majoitusvaihtoehto jos yao-rannalle haluaa.

Dit is hotel is echt perfect! De huisjes zijn schoon en voorzien van magnetron en airco. Het eten van het restaurant is heerlijk! En helemaal niet duur. De familie die het hotel runt is enorm vriendelijk en willen je overal mee helpen. En het is op loopafstand van het prachtige strand en wat supermarkten. Je kunt trouwens ook nog scooters huren bij de receptie. Het was fantastisch :)

Séjour très agréable. Possibilité de louer un scooter à l'hôtel a un prix plus attractif que chez les loueurs de l'île et avec un véhicule de bonne puissance Petit déjeuner de qualité et avec plusieurs choix le tout face à la mer Seul bémol la facturation des serviettes de bain bizarrement tachées …uniquement le jour du départ alors que rien à signaler les 3 autres matin(idem pour un couple de suisse resté 7 jours). On a donc le droit de repartir avec nos serviettes sales et voir la caution amputée de 750b (20€). Le séjour se termine donc sur un sentiment désagréable.…mais qui n'entache pas le plaisir sur cet île.

increibles!
pasamos alli 3 noches. lo llevan 2 hermanas, son super simpaticas y te ayudan en todo. tienen motos para alquilar y la verdad que casi nuevas. nos ayudaron con los transportes entre islas(koh tao,koh samui,koh panghan) al mismo precio y se preocuparon por que teniamos un vuelo en samuim,sin su ayuda quizas lo hubieramos perdido! nos ayudaron a contratar la excursion al parque marino anthong park,con la empresa ORION. muy recomendable esta excursion y el precio que me cobraron es el mismo que tienen los de la empresa. las habitaciones son la lech,una cama comoda y grandisima, baño grande y una gran terraza para descansar en plena selva! (como es logico,en plena selva hay bichos,en la habitacion hay hormigas mas aun si llevas comida a esta.. pero no es nada preocupante!!) un 10 para ellas,el sitio y en todo lo que ayudan!!! volveria con los ojos cerrados!

Hotel molto bello gestito da due signore gentilissime e molto attente. A due passi dalla spiaggia, ma nello stesso tempo in mezzo alla vegetazione. Camere moderne e dotate di tutto ciò che serve (borsa per andare in spiaggia, teli per il mare, bollitore, forno a microonde, frigorifero, ciabattine...). La nostra camera aveva il terrazzo con vista sul mare, bellissimo. In questo hotel c'è anche il ristorante, noi ne abbiamo usufruito per le colazioni, che erano ottime. Super entspannter Aufenthalt und top zufrieden gewesen. Die Besitzer (zwei Schwestern) sind für alle Fragen immer ansprechbar und helfen einem super weiter. Sei es bei der Erkundung der Insel, Ausflugstips mit den hauseigenen Rollern oder dem Buchen der Fähre. Highlight für uns war das selbstgemachte und super leckere Essen. Auch das bekommt man zu jeder Zeit auf der hauseigenen Terrasse mit fantastischem Meerblick. Vielen Dank für die unglaublich nette Gastfreundschaft! Würde 5**** vergeben :-)

Our choice in paradise!
Sun Moon Star is the very best resort we could choose for our holidays in Koh Phangan. The property is situated less than five minutes walk from the nearest, lovely beach, Haad Yao, which is one of the best ones on the island. The hotel is surrounded by nature which gives a peaceful atmosphere. There are ten independent, totally furnished rooms which are perfect to relax and sleep after sunny days on the beach. The views from the room are fantastic, you can hear birds' songs, see them and enjoy living in a quiet place for a few days. The room had two umbrellas, a basket and towels for free. Getting around is quiet simple too, you can rent motorbikes from the hotel or ask them for their taxi service to any point of the island. As for the staff, the family who run the resort are extremely nice, helpful and friendly people, always willing to help and solve any problems or needs the guests may have. They were respectful with our privacy but close to talk to us and at our disposal. They gave us interesting tips on how to move around, places to visit and plans to do. One final point: they prepare really tasty breakfasts and meals at a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend this place to stay in Phangan and hope to come some day in the future.

Villaen var fin og romslig. Safe og badehåndklær på rommet. Veldig hyggelig familie som eier stedet. Det var dessverre veldig lavvann på strendene (vi var der i juni), og dette ødela veldig for oppholdet på Koh Phangan (selv om det selvfølgelig ikke er noe Sun Moon kan noe for). Hotellet ligger 5 min gange fra stranden Haad Yao. Et lite utvalg restauranter i gåavstand. Du MÅ prøve ut "Crave" ved 7/11. Fantastiske burgere!

Hotel klein und sehr angenehm. Das Essen ist frisch und sehr gut, was für mich sehr wichtig ist auf Reisen. Wäre das Essen schlecht gewesen, hätte ich dieses Hotel umgehend wieder verlassen trotz Buchung. Jedoch kein Shuttelservice zum Strand wie in der Buchung erwähnt, was enttäuschend war, weil ich darauf angewiesen war und deshalb dieses hotel gebucht hatte.

Rilassante resort a tre passi da mare
Siamo appena tornati da una settimana di ferie a Ko Phangan, dove abbiamo alloggiato in questa bella struttura, ben gestita da due sorelle Thai, che curano, consigliamo e supportano in tutto i loro clienti. Colazione splendida e abbondante al mattino, sul patio con vista mare. Camera grande così come Il bagno, sempre molto ben pulite. Consiglio.
