The location is great. Beach,restaurants, nightlife, travel,info..everything within a few minutes walk. Swimming pool on site. Staff are delightful...so friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced. We simply couldn't have enjoyed are stay any more. Even the mosquitoes left us alone.

Wonderful family run business in a beautiful, peaceful location. Friendly staff. Swimming pool, shop and option of drinks and dining on sight. We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed.

We have visited Rattana many times and are always impressed by the kindness and welcome from the family and all the staff. A little oasis , with a lovely pool, tucked away between the beach and the main street. Spotlessly clean. Amazing food and service.

The staff were polite and friendly. The apartments are in lovely surroundings with exotic plants and nice swimming pool. The apartment was ok but the small wardrobe was useless for more than 1 person..quite a few mosquitoes around but that is un-avoidable ..All in all we will probably return next year

The beautiful woman who checked us in and out went above and beyond! I booked the wrong night and she allowed me to change with no charge, spoke great english, booked fight tickets for us, airport ride etc. All with a big smile on her face. I think I'm in love haha

The staff at Rattana house are some of the best I’ve seen. So kind, patient and willing to help with any questions. The location is beautiful with an amazing garden full of colour. Can hear birds in the morning and have a quiet start to your day. The restaurant at the entrance is great for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Amazing family run business.
Only stayed a night, but place had warm, friendly & welcoming vibes. Family owned & operated. Yes, the place is dated & could do with some minor TLC. But it’s a room with all the things you need on a trip to a beach island in Samui.

Overall fine for 1 night stay and location is great and nice if you want to chill by the pool. AC worked well. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. There’s so much to do in the area and a close walk to the beach. The location is also pretty quiet. Cons: Hotel room had clear signs of termite droppings that were not cleaned up when we got to the room. Big cockroach in bathroom but it’s Thailand so expect bugs anywhere you stay. Beds not super comfy (hard and springy) and paper thin sheets

A lovely stay
We stayed for 4 nights initially but on the second day enjoyed it so much we extended our stay another night. The staff were incredible both in the ease of extending our stay, and the fantastic amenities they provided including booking us a taxi and laundry. They had a lovely restaurant attached which we had breakfast at almost daily and the shop was great for stocking up on water, beer and snacks. The location of Rattana is perfect, so close to the beach and restaurants on the Main Street without being loud. The star for us (aside from the staff) was the gorgeous pool that we enjoyed every day. Would love to stay again!

Nice place within walking distance of the beach. Nice owners and staff. Good pool. Comfortable bed. Good room amenities. This is a highly recommended place to stay in Koh Samui.

I liked this hotel
Ratana hotel for three nights. It was normal average for 3 rating but very comfortable and clean. No hair dryer, bath amenities are nothing but very clean. Family own hotel and food is very resonable and tasty. Close to everything including beach They also have laundry service and cheap as well.

Wonderful Hotel!
Highly recommend the Ratanna. The staff is absolutely wonderful!! Our room was comfortable and very clean! The location is perfect and ate multiple times at the restaurant and it was delicious !

Brilliant holiday
Brilliant holiday, the family at Rattana guesthouse are wonderful . The rooms were lovely , very quiet and peaceful and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and right in the heart of all the action on Chaweng strip without the noise. Rattana and the family are amazing they really looked after us , and the food she cooks up is fab , shrimp and pineapple curry for breakfast most days, huge choice of Thai dishes and other stuff on the menu. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we will be back .

Simple accom.Ok if dont spend much time in room
Very quiet place. No breeze as quite sheltered. Good location for shops, transport and short walk from beach if dont mind hiring sunbed everyday on beach (just THB100). A few good choices of bfast on beach - beautiful. Room we had not nice. Most other rooms had balcony with view of pool. Ours had balcony facing possible rubbish dump. Bathroom clean but sink extremely high..so no good for children to use. Shower lacked any power. Bedlinen clean, beds v firm if u like that. Room dark with only balcony windows. Lighting awful- strip lighting. No kettle or cups. 2 towels for use in room and pool. Literally 1 toilet roll and tiny bit of soap with no suds. If u dont mind all that, then its a good location

Do yourself a favour. Don't stay here.
The room was very old like from the 50s or 60s. The double bed mattress was like sleeping on concrete. The hardest and most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The old blanket on the bed gave me hay fever. The power points didn't work and the shower was like one you find in an old people's home - a hand held shower. No shower curtain so everything got flooded in the bathroom when showering. 1 star rating. We won't be back.

Will try different hotel next time.
There are NO IN-ROOM SAFES! You get 2 bottles of water on 1st day but will have to plead for water on other days! If you have fond memories of late 70's decor you'll love the rooms. Air con is loud, and overall condition of complex is poor. Positives are the pool although old is of resonable size, and the location is good, only 5min walk to beach and far enough from Chaweng nightclubs to get a good night sleep. Won't be back, especially at the price i paid!

Friendly Staff at a Little Chaweng Oasis
We booked this hotel with the intent of getting a little bungalow that wasn't to far from the beach. We were a little disappointed that we didn't get the room we booked, but the friendly staff immediately got us into a room overlooking the pool on the second floor. Which turned out to be perfect for us. It had a great balcony at palm tree level, waking up too the birds was amazing. The staff made us feel welcomed and at home for the length of our stay. We would recommend this place for couples looking to stay off the main drag while still maintaining closeness to everything that makes Chaweng beach fun.

Standard room was in the old building, does not look as the pictures on the web site, has not a 3 star Hotell standard. Very disappointed. Newer building is also old and tired, rooms smell damp, no chest of drawers, only one single wardrobe, no safe, no hooks to hang up things on. Afterwards I have discovered elsewhere it has 2 star rating, which is more accurate.

I had a lovely experience at Rattanna.Na her daughter and all the staff are very nice genuine people.Close to the beach and all the shops restaurants etc. I recommend Rattanna if you want a personal ,genuine Thai experience.Thank you Na and all your lovely staff.

Pleasant stay in the Chaweng area
The hotel was ideal for a few nights in Chaweng. Just a short walk and you're in the middle of it all. A short walk to the beach which is clean and the waters very inviting. We stayed in the 'old' building (our choice) and it's a bit tired on appearance. Needs some tlc but this didn't affect our stay, everything worked, AC was very good. We used their laundry service and the ladies there were very helpful and for once, a very cheap price (hotels normally always double the price of not more)

A Gem of a Hotel
Exactly what you see in the photos. Rooms spotless and serviced every day. Everything you could want is here, pool fabulous and the beach two minutes stroll, Main Street one minute and three minutes to the centre where it all happens. The staff were fabulous, could not do enough for us. We asked where we could buy a kettle and hey presto one was presented, The little restaurant is superb, food and prices brilliant. Laundry was fast and cheap. We can only thank the Rattana and its staff for a lovely 12 nights. Will definitely stay again. Bargain

Kayee, increible trato con el cliente, siempre dispuesta ayudarte. Apena llegue me regalo un upgrade a un bungalow justo en frente de la enorme y tranquila piscina a las sombras del jardin de palmas y flores. Disponible hasta encargarse del pick up hasta el pier a un precio mucho mas barato que los taxis en chaweng. Muy buenas opciones economicas de comida y de shakes. Pequeño supermercado con precios no mas caros que el 7 eleven. Mejor reservar directamente al numero del hotel , ya que sino las comisiones de la app son elevadas. Volvere’!

Rattana guesthouse 1 e verdieping kamer met balkon 2 ligstoelen , doesh 2 flesjes water elke dag handdoeken , lakens verschoond om de 3/4 dagen dus , poetsen elke dag je kamer , het is wat in oudere staat maar voor die prijs in 2023 € 30 per nacht alles ligt paar meters lopen van de zee , centrum , restaurantje , supermarkt , scooter verhuur . Alles is er groen mooi verzorgd , zwembad alles is gezellig & rattana zelf kun je ook ontbijten. Lunch dinner , als je veel leest in Nederlands boeken zelf meenemen je mag ze daar laten En de eigenaresse en dochter de rest zijn hartstikke aardig Veel plezier
