(1,001 reviews) Nice enough hotel in a good position for access the town. Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast/hotel lobby facilities were all good. The bathroom in our room was small, no space to put wash bags etc. Having a window at street level looking on to the church was also handy for seeing the Northern Lights, but also a little noisy with all the tourists. There are no lifts so we carried our suitcases up to upper ground floor room, but thankfully didn't have a room higher than that. Also the hotel is split into two buildings, so we were not in the same building as the lobby, which was not a major problem, but good to know. You get what you pay for and this hotel is not overly expensive for Reykjavik, so if keeping the costs down is important, then the position, cleanliness, staff, breakfast etc make it worth it, but its not that spacious.
