The western restaurant in the hotel is $20/person per meal and is sub-par at best. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty run down and isn't a great place to take a leisurely stroll."

"We booked this hotel for our one day extended stay in Guilin, as we could not find a flight back to our destination after our tour. We were pleasantly surprised of the hotel, our room exceeded our expectation, and was nicer than the so called "5 star hotel" we were given for our tour.
