The updated room I stayed at was of good quality, equal in quality to most motels I have been to in North America. Room during first stay was somewhat shabby, wallpaper peeling off the wall in several places, bathroom tiles broken, shower in a side of the bathroom almost over the toilet with no curtain. During second stay two weeks later, a different room was well maintained, no peeling wallpaper, no broken tiles, a proper shower stall with sliding glass door. During both stays, the room was very clean, the bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Front staff spoke no English, but with the use of a translate facility on their cell phone, were able to communicate adequately. A foreign credit card was not accepted and I had not converted sufficient money at the airport.
