This was our second stay at Casa Habita and, overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel and the neighborhood are charming. The room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and did everything that they could to make our stay enjoyable.
However, we were incredibly disappointed to learn upon arrival that the pool would be closed for maintenance for the entirety of our stay. (And, from the looks of it, it won’t be open for quite a while.) I really needed to decompress on this vacation and this was a big let down. The front desk staff went out of their way to find another hotel in the area that offered day passes to their pool so that we could still relax in the sun. However, with such short notice, their efforts were unsuccessful.
Despite the disappointment, I still think we’d have chosen to stay at Casa Habita over one of the other hotels that we’d considered. However, If you’ll be staying there soon and hope to relax by the pool, I’d recommend checking with the hotel to confirm that it will be open. And, if it won’t be, ask them to make a reservation for you at one of the other Guadalajara hotels that offer day passes so that you can still relax in the sun!
