Seaview Inn - No View of the sea and HOT!

Posted 21-Aug-2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: New ownership, AC units, nicer linens including pillows. If no AC's at least get a better fan.
Location: Nothing immediately near the hotel. Beach is a couple of miles away.
Besides not having a view, the room did not have AC. It was very hot, we had to sleep with the windows opened next to the bed. Pillow (only 1 per) very flat, cheap. With window opened, it became noisy. When we arrived, Hotel clerks were not welcoming, We arrived in two groups. They thought we were checking into one room. Questioned us several times and treated us like we were lying. Room condition, very dated. Not in the best area and I feel very over priced for what we were getting and compared to other hotels that were near or on the beach.

Dirty pillows

Posted 16-Aug-2015
Pillows were disgusting. The pillow case kept coming off and under there were nasty dirty pillows. U could see old drool. They need to invest in new pillows and zipper cases.

It was a nice hotel cozy they had everything we needed close to the sand dunes so that was good.

The place is like one of those motels where people actually live (not a place where you would want your kids to be). No air conditioning and you wouldn't want to leave your window open for fear of who might come in, so it was so hot in the room it was impossible to sleep. We I paid for a two night stay and only stayed one.

Older hotel full of fleas with high rates

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Get rid of the fleas. I hear salt works wonders.
Location: Great town and good restaurants.
The pictures were deceiving. We thought it was a regular-type room in a touristy area. It was an old hotel with high rates and lots of fleas. When I complained to the manager, he made no effort to alleviate the problem; no comment at all. I would not go back.

Staff was very pleasant, friendly. Room was clean and looked fairly nice. Beds are hard, did not sleep well at all. Microwave did not work. Small refrigerator, great for keeping water cold. No bible in the drawer, not a requirement but nice to see.

A terrible motel.

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Location: The Inn is located in Grover beach, about one mile from Pismo beach.
This is the worst motel that we have ever stayed in. The hotel room has no air conditioner. All they provided to each room is an electric fan. The room is dirty. It did not even provide coffee in the room. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable. The room was very small and there is very little wiggling room. The inn is run by a couple. They provided little or no service. They were not even able to provide us a local map. Worst of all, the hotel is very pricy (>$200 a night). In short, this is the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. Avoid it at all costs.
