Our room opened onto a spacious patio with amazing views. The room itself was fine, nothing remarkable about it. During a September visit, we would have liked to have utilized the sauna but we were told it was only open on request during the "summer months." Television is pretty new and large. The view from the balcony is great and balcony is massive. Bed is one of the best in all the hotel we have stayed. very convenient spot and quiet. The breakfast has the most options to choose from and I am missing it already. The only one downside that could be improved is the shower is weak and the hot water is kind of inconsistent. But I found it quite a typical problem in swiss hotel in general. But overall highly recommend! Just look at my photos. My wife and I loved this quaint hotel. Doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles like a 5 star resort (no pool, no ice machine, no fridge but they have a wonderful breakfast in the most beautiful setting & the room we stayed in (34) was perfect for us. The staff was so warm and helpful and we just loved the history and the fresh flowers adorning the outside of the hotel. The room was charming and very clean with a balcony looking toward the beautiful Alps!! We were welcomed by the owners and provided with helpful tips on how to experience the Alps from Grindlewald. We ate a dinner and a breakfast at the hotel with excellent service and very nice menu choices.
