This modern, comfortable home was a perfect location for access to all the activities in the area. We enjoyed riding the cable cars and train, biking in the valley, hiking on the trails between the towns, and being able to return to our VRBO to cook. Great location!
This getaway was amazing. The property listing speaks for itself and enhanced our enjoyment. The location was minutes away from the Gondolas and train stops. Trails for hiking were also minutes away. Great dining options within walking distance. I cannot say enough positive things about this listing. I recommend it for anyone wanting to visit Grindwald.
Fantastic location, great views of the Eiger. Very convenient location - close to Grindwald Grund railway station, and the main terminal for two gondola rides. The home itself was very nice, 3 bedrooms and lots of room for everyone. Nicely appointed kitchen and a sauna in the basement area.Lovely yard and back patio area offers a relaxed outdoor seating area. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.
This place is a treasure. The views of the Eiger mountain face it amazing. We especially enjoyed having a lower level where we could sit on a patio and have grassy yard to utilize for drinking Wine and playing cards while taking in the amazing views. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect!

Very well located. Close to terminal and at 20 min from the center. Kitchen good equiped all what was needed was available. Good communication with owner. Only remark a lot of personal goods and food that you need to put aside to put your own things.
We were in Grindelwald for 4 nights and the location of this place was perfect for our family of 3 adults and 1 child. Very close to train stations and bus stops - less than a 10 minute walk. It was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was well stocked with everything you could need. Christian was quick to respond to any questions I had. Despite the location being away from the main town center, it was easy to get around. I would recommend this place especially if you have kids.
Being on the ground floor gave us the extra space of the outside patio. There’s a large table and even lawn space for stretching/yoga after a long hike. Kitchen has ample supplies for anything you need. Can walk to the grocery store or drive a few minutes into town for restaurant options. Had a hard time finding the laundry key, but the owner worked to have the superintendent bring one for us. I would recommend staying here for a great view and easy access to everything
This property exceeded our expectations and was perfect for what we needed. The ground floor apartment opened up onto a large patio and garden facing the Eiger North Face. The view was breathtaking. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay - it felt like being in our own home. It was a short walk from the Grindelwald Terminal (Eiger Express, Mannlichen Gondola, trains to everywhere and the Coop supermarket) and Grindelwald Grund (trains to Grindelwald and Kleine Scheidegg). There are also buses from Sage Grund to downtown Grindelwald. While we were not traveling with small children, we noted two small baby cots and a high chair available. The host was very communicative and check in/out was very easy. We would highly recommend this place for your holiday and hope to be back on our next visit.
The house was near to the terminal and grocery store.. It is clean and and wide,near the laundry area in the building. Kitchen sink has an awesome faucet that gives you automatically cold or sparkling water. Over all it is a very nice place to stay in Grindewald.The host is very responsive as well.
The property well maintained and equipped, we impressed with the panoramic view 👌 and the backyard.... will never forget the nice moments we had and the kind full hospitality we had from the host and the neighborhood

Beautiful clean apartment located close to the Train
Clean apartment with jacuzzi tub and sauna, easy parking, wood burning fireplace and outside bbq with beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The only issue was getting information on how to use the laundry facilities. Laundry is not in the unit but is actually shared with the whole building. When I first contacted the owner about laundry he gave me info on a laundromat in town. I then asked if we could use the machines in the building and he replied with "sure". But the machines require a special prepaid card. I again had to ask the owner specifically about how to get the card. He then responded with the hidden location of the laundry card. It was nice that we could do laundry but the owner was not immediately forthcoming with the information when it actually came to using it. Other than this issue the place was great.

Nur als Hinweis, es gibt zu viele Verbrauchsmaterialien und nicht in eine Ferienwohnung gehörende Teile dort. Es könnte etwas aufgeräumter sein. Wir nehmen an das der eigentümer die Ferienwohnung oft auch selbst nutzt. Aber die Eigentumsverhältnisse von den vorhandenen Vorraäten sind unklar. Aber Super lage zum Terminal.Skischuhe trocknen ist wie in Amerika.

Der Aufenthalt har sehr gut. Die Lage des Hause für zum Skifahren perfekt.Die Ausstattung war hervorragend. Leider waren fast alle Fenster abgeschlossen und der Schlüssel zum Öffnen nicht auffindbar. Eine Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Vermieter war unmöglich.
MEER DAN TELEURTELLEND!! DEFECTE JACOUZZI EN GEEN COMMUNICATIE MET DE EIGENAAR
Wij zijn al jaren grote fans van Grindelwald, maar we hebben nog nooit zo'n slechte keuze gemaakt qua appartement. Bij aankomst bleek het dak van het gebouw vernieuwd te worden, dus de hele week vanaf 7 uur 's morgens de bouwvakkers aan de gang. De jacouzzi waar we ons zeer op verheugd hadden bleek defect te zijn. Ook de gastekarten waren niet aanwezig. Direct na aankomst de eigenaar getracht te bereiken en toen dat niet lukte HomeAway gebeld. Diverse pogingen gedaan om een reactie van de eigenaar te krijgen, maar tot op heden (inmiddels bijna 2 maanden verder) niets gehoord. Ook van de kant van HomeAway worden we uitermate slecht voorzien van informatie. Als je volgens de advertentie een vakantie boekt in een appartement met 2 badkamers het wel zuur als je dan moet volstaan met 1 kleine douche met 6 volwassenen. Achteraf blijkt in de recensies te staan dat de jacouzzi het al veel vaker liet afweten. Zelfs nu zien we bij de recensies staan dat de mensen na ons ook nog steeds een defecte jacouzzi hadden. Schrikbarend als je kijkt dat de prijs voor dit appartement volgend jaar enorm stijgt tov de al veel te hoge prijs die wij dit jaar voor een week verblijf betaalden. Wij vinden het echt schandalig dat deze eigenaar hier blijkbaar al jaren mee wegkomt. Jammer dat HomeAway niets doet met de recensies. Ga vooral op zoek naar iets anders in Grindelwald.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit super Lage
Die Ferienwohnung liegt super zentral am Bahnhof Grund und ist sehr gut ausgestattet (vor allem die Küche).
Die drei Zimmer sind bequem und praktisch eingerichtet und es gibt eine private Sauna im Keller. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist wunderschön und der Grill und die Liegestühle laden zum Entspannen ein. Alles in allem ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Auch wir haben leider vorab keine Informationen über den Check-in erhalten, aber sobald man den Schlüssel hat kann man sich auf einen schönen Urlaub freuen.
*Der Whirlpool funktioniert nicht.

Wanderurlaub in Grindelwald
Auf dem Sitzplatz hat man eine traumhafte Sicht auf die Eiger-Nordwand. Die Erholung in den Doppelbetten ist sensationell. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden.
Leider auch einige Mängel:
Der Unterhalt der Wohnung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Siebe bei den Wasserhähnen sind verkalkt und der Wasserdurchfluss ist sehr gering. In der Dusche riecht es sehr eklig. Das grössere Badezimmer ist zu 85% mit einem Whirlpool belegt. Zum Öffnen und Schliessen des Fenster's muss durch den Whirlpool gestiegen werden. Der Whirlpool und der Fernseher im Bad funktionierten nicht. Die Badezimmer sind für 4-6 Personen klein.
Wir kommen sicher wieder nach Grindelwald, aber bestimmt nicht mehr in diese Wohnung!
Nach einem holprigen Check In (Information zur Schlüsselübergabe fehlte bei Anreise, Vermieter zunächst nicht erreichbar) hatten wir sehr schöne Tage in einer wirklich komfortablen Wohnung, unmittelbar am Bahnhof Grindelwald- Grund. Mit einer sehr guten Ausstattung.

Keine Betreuung oder Ansprechperson vor Ort.
Bei der Einrichtung der Wohnung mussten wir diverse Mängel feststellen, welche dem Vermieter angeblich nicht bekannt waren und bei der Bereitstellung der Wohnung demzufolge nicht kontrolliert wurden.
Die Unterlagen/Bedienungsanleitungen in der Wohnung fehlten und die Kontaktadressen waren nicht aktuell.
Gut unterhalten und seriös vorbereitet würde es sich um eine top Wohnung an guter Lage handeln. Wir waren leider enttäuscht.

Well located for skiing & hiking
Well located behind Grund station & easy walking distance to Mannlichen (& soon Eiger) cablecar(s). Clean sunny apartment for up to 6 people - though one of 2 bathrooms more or less condemned by large jacuzzi (tried once & frankly not very impressive ito jet pressure etc), effectively knocking out 2nd shower &/or bath which is little inconvenient. Biggest issue was finding the apartment - whilst designated as 35 Grundstrasse, GPS will take you to pizza restaurant at Grund station. If you are savy & look at photo, you will recognize apartment as being across railway tracks from station. However to access, you need to drive into InterSport parking, hug the section of the parking close to the hill, drive behind municipal garages to find driveway for apartment. Once you get to apartment, all communication is with a very nice, Swiss-German speaking only cleaning lady; this was not a problem (tip - google translate).
