Quiet and centrally located—spacious vacation apartment with a view of the garden

This renovated and modernly furnished holiday rental is located on the upper floor of the former stable of a hussar villa dating from 1900. Three tenant households live in the front building, including us, the owners. The centre of Grimma is a 10-minute walk away, and the train station is a 15-minute walk or a short ride on the city bus. It takes less than 10 minutes to drive to the A14 highway.
You enter the holiday apartment through a covered entrance area with outdoor seating. Behind the front door, you’ll find storage space for shoes, suitcases, and similar items. Go up a wide staircase and through another door to reach the hallway, which features two large mirrors and a hanging coat rack. From here, you can access all the rooms: the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and dining: a dining area, dishwasher, oven, freezer and refrigerator, filter coffee maker, etc. An iron, ironing board, and clothes drying rack are also provided. The bright bathroom features a sink with a vanity cabinet, a mirror, a glass shower enclosure, a towel warmer, a toilet, and a small washing machine. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), a large closet, a nightstand, a chest of drawers, and satellite TV. Your beds are freshly made, and towels are provided. The highlight is the large living room with a comfortable corner couch, a wall unit with built-in storage, books, and satellite TV. One person can sleep comfortably on the couch. In an alcove, there is a dining table with chairs as well as a small desk. From the living room and bedroom, you have a view of the garden with a lawn and trees. Arrive, feel at home.
Supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, snack bars, a savings bank, a petrol station, hair salons, doctors, and a hospital are all nearby.
Grimma is the ideal starting point for trips to Leipzig (35 km), Dresden (85 km), Chemnitz (70 km), Saxon Switzerland (Königstein, Bastei—120 km), or the Ore Mountains (Seiffen—110 km, Fichtelberg—130 km). The town on the Mulde River itself is also well worth a visit, with its restored medieval town centre, the impressive town hall, as well as the suspension bridge and Pöppelmann’s stone bridge. There are several shops, galleries, museums, and cosy restaurants. The immediate surroundings are perfect for walking, hiking, and biking. Other smaller towns near Grima are also worth a visit: Colditz (castle), Leisnig (Mildenstein Castle, Klosterbuch), Großbothen (Wilhelm Ostwald Memorial), and much more.
If you’re arriving by car, you can drive into the courtyard to unload. Free parking is available nearby.
