This makes it ideal for exploring the local vineyards, enjoying walks or cycles along Lake Geneva, or visiting nearby towns. The foliage is lush, and the opportunities for outdoor dining are plentiful.Couples looking for a romantic escape will particularly appreciate the warm evenings, great for enjoying a glass of local wine on a terrace overlooking the lake or the Jura mountains. Many local events and markets also take place during these months, offering a chance to sample regional produce and crafts. For those who enjoy winter sports or a cosy, quieter getaway, December to March can be appealing. While Grens itself isn't a ski resort, it's a good base for day trips to the Jura mountains for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, and the crisp air and occasional snowfall create a picturesque landscape.
