This is a lovely, historic home at the end of a quiet street, overlooking the river. The hosts were welcoming and responsive, and the house had all the comforts of home. We truly enjoyed it!
I was truly humbled with how beautiful this home is as it has a lot of history, it sit’s close to the river and it’s just breathtaking. The history of the town is amazing and the owners have a lot to add, exceptional service! We appreciate the stay and will be back sometime.
The house is beautifully appointed. It is so clean, quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and the view of the river was gorgeous! Great communication with the hosts. They responded immediately to any questions we had. We were visiting my so. At WVU and it was the perfect place to be out of the traffic in Morgantown, beat the price hikes of hotels. Very easy drive to Morgantown.
We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and relaxing property. It is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were so kind, very accommodating and answered any question we had. We could have sat on the porch and watched the river for hours! Would absolutely recommend this property 100%. It is only about 30 mins from Morgantown so it is great for anyone visiting a student at WVU but wanting a place to wind down and have calm and quiet.
We were very comfortable in the house and proximity to the Monongahela River was interesting. There is not much, except history in Greensboro, but there is relative proximity to great hiking in West Virginia (Raven’s Rock and Rock City trails at Cooper’s Rock St Park), Maryland (Swallow Falls) and Ohiopyle, PA (Ferncliff). Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob tours are worth a visit. We also visited Pittsburgh to experience the National Aviary, Warhol Museum and The Original Oyster Bar. It took some driving but this house was central to the places we wanted to see. The value for renting was very good.
