Cars that are lower to the ground may scrape the undercarriage. \- Please note that infants are considered part of the total guest count under HOA rules. \- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. \- This home is made up of the main house (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and the detached apartment has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. \- The detached apartment does not have AC. \- The game room is a converted garage without heat. \- Whidbey Island is home to a naval air base. On a few weekdays each month (and occasionally in the evening), you may hear loud flight training. The Navy does not conduct training on weekends or holidays and typically publishes the schedule one week in advance. They allowed for us to have early check-in and late checkout because it was not booked on either end of our stay which was very lovely. And the property was well-maintained and had clear directions. The view was gorgeous! The only thing that was a little bit inconvenient was there was no hot water in the apartment above the garage, but when we reached out to the manager they got someone out to work on it within a few hours and got it fixed right up! The responses back to us for any issues was very quick. The location was great, a 10 to 15 min ride to town. We all had a nice stay and the beds were very comfortable. Be careful walking down to the beach though because the stairs can get very slick, as we found out when my husband slipped and fell down. He was fine though! Thanks for the stay! ##### Nicole B. This property overlooks Puget Sound and the large deck and windows provide gorgeous views of the water and Olympic mountains, vessels and cruise ships that pass by, and bald eagles nesting in the trees. This year we also saw 3 orcas swimming offshore. The younger family members enjoyed the shore area and kayaking. It is peaceful and quiet as you are isolated from neighboring properties. A few minor complaints: the obvious mailbox coming in STILL shows the number 4058 instead of 4070, and the long driveway has not been improved. The deck had plants growing through the floors and broken gate. The steps going to the beach had not been improved, but our younger family members still enjoyed the shore at low tide and did some kayaking. (One son-in-law tried to clean up the overgrown weeds a bit. Another son-in-law fixed the loose faucet in the kitchen.) The home has nice furnishings and the internet is great, but it is beginning to look like it needs some TLC. The kitchen is well equipped but has hit and miss pan sizes and utensils, and the broiler in the oven didn't work. The ice maker still provided surprises for us, the locks are quirky, and some light bulbs need replacing. These are all minor complaints leading us to believe the owners don't spend time there. Would we come back here again? Probably, because we love this island and the quiet location. ##### Jacquie F. We LOVED the separation of the game room and kids rooms. We loved the deck and spaces in the home. The stay would have been perfect and the a 5 star if it were not for the older hot tub not properly working (very important to us) and that the master bedroom bed is way to hard, even with a memory foam topper. You will want to just sit on the deck, sip an iced tea, and watch the cargo ships go by. The grandchildren loved the hot tub on the deck and taking trips down the stairs to the beach. Our older sons enjoyed riding their trail bikes at the Kettles at Fort Ebey. The competitions in the game room were fierce! An all-around perfect vacation! ##### Heidi L. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the views are breathtaking.
