I personally like the convenience and privacy of an ensuite, which is the only reason Trecastle doesn't get five stars all the way. That aside it's an excellent place to stay with lovely, friendly hosts and secure garage parking for my motorbike. I will return.

We had a lovely stay, very friendly owner, made us feel very welcome

Stay for a family wedding, very clean exelent breakfast and a friendly host in Phillip.

We also really enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting at the shop next door, with a knowledgeable...

Food is excellent and we were made very welcome despite arriving late for dinner after a long drive. The chateau itself is a lovely building in a beautiful setting and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern. Atmosphere is relaxed and informal. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but will do next time we visit.

The property and views were stunning. Spacious room and bathroom, breakfast was also good. My only gripe would be the room could do with a small fridge, as there is nowhere nearby to get a cold drink.

It was in the centre of the city with nearby parking, excellent for sightseeing and enjoying the local culture.
