The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in the lounge, when breakfast, afternoon tea and snacks/drinks served in the evening. A relaxed atmosphere with attentive service. The room was recently refurbished, an excellent size and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the turn down service a classy touch that has been mostly forgotten in modern hotels. The only gripe is an Intercontinental hotels policy that restricts TV volume to a barely audible '20' that required subtitles to understand what was being said. There appears no way to change that but when the air conditioning unit is on, it's inaudible. A very enjoyable stay and a hotel I'd return to.
