Perfect getaway
Very friendly and hospitable host, nothing too much trouble, excellent recommendations for eating out, any problems were sorted. Spectacular views of mountains and surrounding countryside. Could even pick out The Palace of Faistos across the valley. Super pet friendly,( dogs and cats were adorable and no trouble). Pool great for cooling off, plenty of room, secure with electronic gates. In the countryside but on the edge of a village with amenities,( great bakers!). Larger supermarket not far away. Matala beach 12 k. Great holiday for busy people wanting to escape the crowds,( and other tourists particularly!) Loved it would recommend to anyone.

What can we say, this was our first holiday to Crete, Elizabeth who owns the villa is absolutely fabulous from picking us up at 3.30am due to a lost taxi driver, to sorting out car hire and just being a wonderful lady!!! We had the company of her beautiful dogs most days who are just so friendly, villa is immaculate and has everything you require for a stress free holiday, we loved it so much we have already booked for next year!!!! Thank you for everything Elizabeth you are a wonderful lady!!!!

Lovely villa in a beautiful peaceful location
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Elizabeth. The owner, Elizabeth, was absolutely lovely and very helpful. The location is beautiful, with views in all directions from balcony and patio. The villa had all the equipment we needed, and was very clean. The pool was perfect for a cooling dip, and the garden was a little oasis of green with many lovely shrubs and plants.

And ..... relax !!!
This was our second time of visiting Crete and our favourite Villa of the four we have stayed at to date. We stayed for a week and had a fantastic time. The villa is lovely and for us we enjoyed the full experience and amenities and it was great for all of us just being able to properly relax in a peaceful non-touristy setting surrounded by olive groves. We were all very happy in the pool and with access to the internet and media equipment. The kids even enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and watching the sun go down over the mountains and then having some amazing, very clear, stargazing experiences (!) as the villa is nicely positioned in the hill above the village of Petrokefalion. The kitchen is well fitted out with all the typical gadgets and more to easily prepare family meals with all the great quality local produce on offer at this time of year. There is very easy access to the local beaches Komos, Matala and the many restaurants and bars. The local village also has restaurant’s, butchers, bakers and small supermarkets, (there are larger supermarkets in Mires or Pistidia about 10 minute drive away in opposite directions) Elizabeth is a friendly and generous host who speaks great English and was very helpful with local knowledge and advice. She was especially helpful sorting out our hire car challenge! She was also very respectful of our privacy and communicated with us before turning up at the villa. All windows and the main door have retractable insect screens which was useful in the early evenings and the air-con in each room worked fine and was much needed overnight. We found some lovely local jogging routes for our early evening runs (when it was cooler), typically through miles of olive groves! Overall, we had a great time at the villa as we able to totally relax in these surroundings and we look forward to returning in the future.

Nice Villa with an awesome view
Elizabeth is very nice and helpful with everything you need and could need. The Villa is located after the Property of Elizabeth at the end of the road and a bit above. The Dogs and Cats are lovely as Elizabeth and the Villa is. Recommended.

Villa Elisabeth, Petrokafali
We stayed for 2 weeks at the Villa Elisabeth near Pertokafali. The villa is in a beautiful part of southern Crete with outstanding views all round. Elisabeth and her husband made us feel welcome from the outset despite arriving at 12.30 am with a small RAKI (local drink). It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning was a life saviour. The TV and internet facility was also of immense benefit. The pool was also invaluable at keeping us cool. Matala was only 15mins away and the local supermarkets were very handy too. We loved our stay there and were very sad to leave.

Rural getaway, de stress and chill
We spent a delightful week at Elizabeth’s villa up in the hills with lively views. Very friendly and helpful hostess with her even more friendly dog and cats. Komos beach was exotic with crystal clear sea. It was boiling hot weather and so pleased with the air con in villa especially at night. Would definitely recommend.

A little oasis of peace and quiet
If you don't like busy resorts and prefer something quieter and less touristy, then this is the place for you. We were a party of four (mum, dad & two teenage+ daughters). Our host, Elizabeth, asked us to message her when we were en route to Petrokefali and arranged to meet us in the village to guide us up to our villa. She was the perfect host - showing us around the villa, offering to provide us with anything we wanted and on hand for any problems or questions throughout our stay without being intrusive. Gifts of water, eggs and watermelons were a lovely touch both on arrival and throughout our stay. The villa was ample size for our needs and could have easily accommodated another 4 people. All the facilities you would expect were available: washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and several different places to sit to eat and relax. The pool wasn't particularly large but was very welcome given the temperature throughout our stay was around 30-32 degrees. The views from the villa particularly up on the terrace were spectacular (a hire car is a necessity). Petrokefali is set in the central south of the island which is far quieter and less tourisy than the northern coastline. Having said that, there are still plenty of places to visit if you fancy venturing out. The ancient ruins of Phaistos are about a 10 minute drive away and the beaches of Matala and Kommos not much further on. The beautiful fishing town of Agai Galini has shops and plenty of restaurants and comes to life as the sun goes down. All in all a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and take in the Cretan hospitality away from hustle and bustle.

Perfect Holiday
The villa had everything we needed for a fantastic holiday and we particularly enjoyed the outside space. The location was perfect, peaceful, yet a short walk into the local village. Communication with Elizabeth was fantastic. She made sure we had everything we needed and we felt like we were staying with friends. The surrounding area and villages were lovely but we weren't inclined to spend much time away from the villa.

Wonderful relaxing get away
Even though we arrived late at 23:00 Eli meet us with a smile on her face and was a delight to deal with the entire holiday. The local beaches are fantastic for sunbathing and swimming and Matala is awesome for food and shopping too. We spent most of our time enjoying the pool and tranquility of the local traditional village. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you Eli xxx

Superb holiday and villa
We have just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Elisabeth where we enjoyed an amazing and comfortable stay. The villa is well equipped and spacious inside. All rooms bar one have air conditioning and it is a paradise for children - mine decided to take the top floor with their own roof terrace! I was thrilled that the villa has electric gates making it all the safer for the children to explore the grounds. The views are spectacular! The village has several tavernas and are very close by. And Elisabeth is on hand at any time of the day (or night) - an excellent hostess! We will most definitely be returning - thank you Elisabeth and Manolis for a great holiday and introduction to Crete.

Wunderbar
Die Villa ist wunderbar! Sehr schön gelegen und sehr ruhig. Es gibt rund um das Haus viel grün, so dass es auch viel Schatten gibt. Bei Temperaturen von 30 grad und mehr im Schatten war das manchmal lebensrettend. Wenn man ab morgens alle Türen und Fenster zum Haus geschlossen hält, dann kann man die Temperatur im Haus zuverlässig auf etwa 25 grad begrenzen. Eine Wohltat, wenn man von einer heissen Wanderung zurück kommt. Dann ist auch der Pool extrem angenehm und nützlich. Die Aufnahme und Betreuung durch Elizabeth ist toll - es gibt nichts zu klagen. Im Haus gibt es alles was man braucht, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Schönes Haus mit Pool in ruraler Umgebung
Wir genossen 2 Wochen in ruhiger ländlicher Umgebung fernab der üblichen Hektik von Tourismusorten. Tolle Aussicht auf der Dachterrasse. Schöner Garten mit vielen Blumen und Fruchtbäumen. Das fussläufig erreichbare Zentrum von Petrakafali bietet Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für das Notwendigste. Zum Essen gehen lohnt sich die kurze Fahrt nach Sivas. Wer Lust auf eine originelle quirlige kretische Kleinstadt hat, wird Moires toll finden.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einem empfehlenswertem Haus
- sehr freundliche Gastgeberin - zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstteller, Raki und Olivenöl - Elizabeth war immer problemlos über WhatsApp zu erreichen und hat gute Empfehlungen zu Aktivitäten und Tavernen in der Umgebung gegeben - Haus bietet alles notwendige - schöne, gepflegte Gartenanlage mit Pool - zu jeder Tageszeit schattige Sitzmöglichkeiten - Dachterrasse als zusätzliches Highlight zu späteren Abendstunden - alleinstehendes, nicht einsehbares Grundstück - ca. 15 minütige Autofahrt zu unterschiedlichen schönen Stränden - ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg in den Ortskern mit kleinen Supermärkten, Tankstelle, Taverne, Bäckerei und Café - täglicher Besuch von Elizabeth's lieben Hunden und Katzen

Der perfekte Urlaub
Wir haben die Ruhe gesucht und gefunden. Der perfekte Ort und einfach nur super schön. Elizabeth war die perfekte Gastgeberin und immer für uns da, für alle Anliegen und Fragen. Einfach ein traumhafter Urlaub mit einem tollen Haus das liebevoll eingerichtet ist und einen so tollen Garten. Es gibt viele tolle Aktivitäten in der Umgebung zu erleben und einige richtig gute Tavernen. Im großen und Ganzen ein schönes Anwesen
Es war eine schöne Woche. Der Pool hat uns über die Hitze gebracht! Ruhig gelegen, bißchen weg vom Tourismus! Das Haus war kühl durch Klimaanlage. Die Küchenausstattung war eher mager, es hat doch so einiges gefehlt! Elisabeth war eine angenehme Gastgeberin, nett und freundlich!

Excellente location dans usur les hauteurs d'un petit village animé. La maison est très agréable, très bien équipée et la piscine un pur bonheur. Le wifi est très bon si vous avez besoin de travailler. La propriétaire est adorable et disponible. Bref, nous avons passé une superbe semaine. Je recommande vivement.

Perfect place to enjoy the south coast. Quiet in olive trees, a few minutes from Matala or Phaistos. Less than an hour from Heraklion with new national road. Charming welcome, very pleasant terrace and swimming pool. A great stay. Thx to Elizabeth.

Es war ein fabelhafter Urlaub. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Zur Begrüßung standen Raki und Olivenöl bereit. Das Haus ist sehr schön, sauber und entspricht der Beschreibung. Es hat eine superschöne Dachterrasse, auf der man den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Es sind alle notwendigen Küchengeräte vorhanden. Außenbereich und Pool sind schön angelegt. Elizabeth ist eine herzliche Gastgeberin, die bei Fragen und Problemen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht.

Schöner Urlaub in Petrokefali
Wir hatten einen schönen 14 tägigen Aufenthalt in der Finka und wurden herzlich von den Vermietern (Elisabeth) empfangen. Das Haus verfügt über einen sauberen Pool, viel Liegefläche, einer Terasse und einer Oberterasse mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf Petrokefali und Umgebung. Der massiv gemauerte Grillkamin wurde mehrfach von uns genutzt. Im Ort selber, gibt es mehrere Tavernen und die Menschen sind sehr gastfreundlich. Vielen lieben Dank an Elisabeth und ihren Mann. warmherzige, offenen und tierliebe Vermieterin

Toller Urlaub mit Wiederholungspotenzial
Wir verbrachten 10 wundervolle Tage in der Villa Elli. Problemlos gefunden und wir wurden direkt von unserer wundervollen Gastgeberin Elli empfangen. Man wurde begrüßt wie alte Freunde und wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt und Elli ist sehr bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Eine Nachricht genügt und sie ist zur Stelle. Der Garten und die Dachterrasse sind ein Traum. Nette flauschige Gesellschaft hatten wir in Form von Ellis Katzen und Hunden auch :) 10 min Autofahrt zum Strand und nur ein kurzer Fußweg zum Ortskern mit einer Taverne mit gutem und günstigen Essen. Einen Besuch Wert ist auf jeden Fall die Auffangstation für Esel, die nur knapp 5 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt ist , welche in Eigenregie betrieben und nur von Spenden finanziert wird. Ein toller Urlaub, den man nur wärmstens empfehlen kann. Thank you Elli for everything, we love you :) Big hugs for Bubu, Cookie, Lucy „Baghira“ and Friends :)

Perfect vacations
We had a very nice stay and wonderful vacations in Villa Elisabeth. The children were excited about the beautiful swimming pool. Our Host Elisabeth gave us a lot of very helpful information about the best hiking tours, beaches or even the best place in town to buy a birthday cake for our daughter! And not to forget about the nice little dogs "Boubou", "Cookie" and "Choko", that visited us in the garden every day.

Super Villa mit allen Extras
So etwas nennt man Volltreffer. Etwas abgelegen von den Stränden trifft man auf die sehr nette Vermieterin Elizabeth. Garten mit Riesenpalme , Liegen , überdachter Stellplatz und beleuchteter Pool stehen sofort bereit. Das Haus ist in echt noch etwas größer als beschrieben und hat zusätzlich zum Garten auch eine überdachte Dachterrasse. Innen: Wohnküche, zwei Doppelzimmer, 2 Bäder, im Obergeschoss noch ein großer Raum mit 4 Betten. Ausstattung: einfach gesagt: ALLES DA! SAT-TV, WIFI, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Kaffe& Espressomaschine, etc. Dazu Wasser, Obst, Raki bei der Ankunft im Kühlschrank. Außen: diverse überdachte Sitzplätze, Liegen, großer Grill, Pool. Und wenn etwas fehlt oder nicht funktioniert? Eine SMS an Elizabeth und dann wird geholfen. Das Haus im am Ort Petrokefali und ist ca 15 km von den nächsten Stränden entfernt, mit dem Auto alles kein Problem. 10 min Fußweg in den Ort, der kleine Supermärkte, Tankstelle, Bäcker, Taverne und Restaurant hat. Von uns gibt es : Daumen hoch!!
