"Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent!"

"Very good accommodation for us as a group of friends on our annual get together. Room to sit and chat in the the kitchen and living room, and lovely outdoor area. Beds very comfy. Long mirrors in every bedroom room would be good."

The renovation of the barn has been done very sympathetically keeping many of the original features on the old building. Great hosts, on hand for anything you need. Would recommend. "

"We stayed in the Lavender Cottage for two nights on a weekend away. The cottage is situated at a short distance from the Southwell Minster and village shops. Southwell itself is quite a compact and cute little village. The cottage is really well presented, clean and well equipped. The host, Rebecca, left us a hamper with bread, juice, milk etc. Everything was very clean and tidy. We had two cozy nights in there and the log fire was a great addition to the lovely relaxing feel the cottage has....

"This medieval house was really cute. Does come with the quirks of an older house (creaky stairs, small rooms) but that adds to the charm. Host was very helpful throughout our stay and on arrival had items in fridge (milk/butter/jam) and some pastries along w/ a bottle of wine. location is perfect for wandering around Stamford and a quick 5min walk from Train station so very doable w/ luggage"

"The cottage is situated in a peaceful rural environment yet just a minute or two's drive from the A52 with easy access to Grantham, Nottingham and beyond. The cottage itself is spacious and homely with every facility you could wish for. We loved it. Lynn has thought of everything and likes to communicate personally to ensure her guests are fully briefed about the cottage, its history and the local area. Fabulous!"
