"Really nice stay. Room cosy with everything you'd need apart from a fridge which wasn't a big deal for us. Great bar with a good range of beers and spirits and spot on food. You order cooked breakfast the night before and a full and hearty breakfast it was- very tasty indeed. The manager on site was really good- faultless. Nothing too much trouble and even let me use her freezer overnight! The Old Pheasant is handily placed for Melton , Stamford and Burghley House. Would definitely recommend."

"We stayed 2 nights with our dog during a tour of the Rutland area and further afield. We were really impressed by the hotel - great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely walks locally, well maintained facilities, lots of spaces for chilling out, lovely food and welcoming of our dog in all locations. We had a lovely stay and this hotel is high on our list for a return, perhaps without our dog so we can use the spa facilities! The only slight negatives were that the room looked a little tired (we understand that there's a major refurb on the way) but it was perfectly fine and perhaps now is the time to get a good price before the refurb! And, a small gripe, the lovely breakfast was spoiled by having to make our own toast using two toasters that couldn't brown both sides of the bread at the same time (I spend many minutes standing around with others trying to get a decent slice to go with my eggs) - a minor but irritating annoyance. But overall a fantastic stay, thank you."
Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa

"Overall a good stay. I stayed in the cosy double room and all I would say is the bed was really hard. Also the room was right by the door so it was noisy as times. Breakfast was good. We tried booking in for dinner on the first evening however it was full so we ordered a delivery to the hotel as it was late. No food service in the evening which I thought was odd. The hotel did try and book us in for the other nights though."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at The Bingham Townhouse Hotel. The service was very good, and the hotel is well looked after, with some areas still being renovated to make it even better. The full English breakfast was one of the best we had. The hotel's location is easy to find and well situated for local public transport. There is also spacious parking. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay there."

"Very nice traditional hotel, has a lot of character. The rooms are a tad dated but fit the atmosphere of the building. Really comfy beds and we had memory foam pillows on a big bed. It is also a restaurant but we didn't eat here, but it smells very nice. Would very much stay here again for the price"
