"This property was in a very quiet and rural place, which is exactly what we wanted, to be near wildlife and nature. The housecwas very clean and had everything one needed to make the stay comfortable. Chantal the owner kept great communication with me and even got us discounts at various excursions! The housekeeper Ingrid was very welcoming and came to meet us even though we got late arriving! Will recommend to everyone and will hopefully be going back again. "

From the staff who greeted us to the ranger and tracker who accompanied us in open Land Rovers on our small group safaris, every single person gave us care, attention and made us feel so very welcome. We saw amazing wildlife (6 of the Magnificent Seven), and even did some exciting off-roading in pursuit of a glimpse of the rarely seen African wild dogs who were running in a pack. Honestly, I could have driven all day...

"We first stayed at Bongani Mountain Lodge 15 years ago and returned when we saw it on special over new year. Not much has changed in 15 years. We had a nice time - the food was good and our ranger and tracker were pleasant and informative. I would not rate this lodge as luxury. The room, with a queen size bed, had seen better days and with the thatch roof and poor choice of tiles it always seemed a bit grubby. The game viewing is not great.
