"Consider staying elsewhere! The first room was in very poor condition with a mouldy smell. Bathroom, furnishings & carpet dirty. 2nd room no better. Manager offered us our money back to find ourselves another hotel but we took 3rd room although this was only slightly better as no other rooms apparently available. After complaining, we were told hotel undergoing refurbishment. Reception staff not helpful. Prosecco offered but not delivered to room so had to request this the next day. Photographs were taken to prove condition of room. There were large Rentokil vermin trap boxes in breakfast restaurant seating area. On our last morning toilet would not flush and water filled to the top of the bowl. Breakfast selection was good. We had stayed before and were happy to return but this stay was not acceptable. After email complaint the offer of a room upgrade on a returning stay would certainly not encourage us to return nor recommend this hotel to any others to stay at this hotel. It has a great location but our standard room fell far short of being anywhere near acceptable standard. Extremely disappointing!"

"Really warm greeting from the stsff as soon as we stepped into the hotel. Quick & efficient check-in. The room was cleaned to a very high standard. Plenty of choice at breakfast - everything from a full english cooked breakfast to a continental one. My only complaint was that there was no restaurant on site, only a cafe for snacks. Overall a great stsy & would definitely revommend."

"Just back from a nice couple of days at the Social Hub in Glasgow. The only real issue we had with the place was that one of the two rooms that we booked wasn't ready at check in time leaving us hanging around waiting till we could all get settled in and head out into town. Apart from that though the hotel was a brilliant base from which to explore the city. Everything is pretty much in walking distance from the hotel but if you need it there are plenty of public transport options if you want to go further afield. The room was smallish (which we expected) and clean. Considering its city centre location it's also pretty quiet with blackout curtains and a comfortable bed aiding a good night's sleep. Staff were all exceptionally friendly, helpful and (in the case of the delayed room) genuinely sorry that they'd slipped up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hub for a short break, and look forward to returning."

"Quite a good deal to visit the Excel Exhibition centre with a FREE ferry to Canary Wharf. The staff changed my bunk to a bottom bunk. Then I had a really nice bath as ai am not a shower person. My companion was an American Magician/Comedian who is touring Europe to get away from TRUMP. The water view from the window was an added bonus. A local map might have been useful but the Tesco express and bus stop close by was very useful."
