You are walking distance to Houghton Lake (Michigan's biggest inland lake) and a boat launch within a mile for a fisherman/boater's paradise. This home is also centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants, ORV trails, and golf courses. Across the street (M55) is an iconic diner (Powell's) for breakfast and lunch. In close proximity are many bars, restaurants and Pines movie theater.

The house/cabin was spacious, clean, and provided everything needed. There is a crate for the dog to sleep. The area was quiet, centrally located to shopping areas.

Nice rental home with plenty of room

Very comfortable rental home. Plenty of room. Master bed is very comfortable. Convenient for lake activities. Not so convenient to get to the UTV trails, but we made it work.

Great location for a long weekend getaway

Close to lots of resources (groceries, gas, bait store, etc.). The house was very clean and had no weird smells. It's very close to the lake, only about a block. Nothing fancy, but it was a great home base for our family outing. One thing I could suggest is a "user guide" that tells about lake access and local spots. Wi-Fi was good, and we loved that our dog could come with us.

Great Value, Nice place

When we first pulled into the driveway, my overall impression was this looks very homey. A nice picnic table out front, fire pit in the back, just a relaxing feel. The property itself did not have air conditioning which I didn't know at the time of booking. It was probably listed, I just didn't see it. However, he does have a portable AC unit that was more than sufficient and plenty of fans and fans on stands. The home itself is very clean. Very nice. It did have a slight slant to it. The only thing I would have preferred (this is just a functionality thing), is having the refrigerator door open from the opposite side. Other than that, very very minor complaint, this was an excellent property. Great value for the money and I would stay here again.

This was a nice, roomy stay. We enjoyed how close everything was, the town has nice lil local foods and shops that made the stay even more enjoyable. Michigan was a nice lil vacation.
