We loved our one night stay at the historic Buxton Inn. It was clean, cozy and welcoming! I wish we could have stayed for longer on the trip. Next time!

We were coming to watch a sporting event that got postponed and we were charged for two nights. Weather related postponement which we had no control over. Refused a credit or refund.

This historic and quaint inn was perfect for our two day stay. The building dates back to the early 1800's but the modernization was great. Would definitely stay with them again!

I came here just for an overnight getaway and was not disappointed! I stayed in the Pearl House, and it was beautiful. I absolutely love the history of the inn. Do keep in mind, though, that with an old property like this one come several expected conditions. The walls were very thin, and I could hear my neighbors all night (this was probably more problematic because I stayed the Saturday night before St. Paddy's Day), and the room made me sneeze quite a bit. Everything was clean and tidy, though, and I would definitely go back! (Also, I encountered no ghosts!)

Our stay was clean and quiet.
The Inn and the surrounding buildings are very old and nicely decorated. Parking is onsite but it was a rainy night so prepare to be damp if it is rainy when you arrive.

we love the historic charm to this beautiful inn. our room was decorated simply but perfectly with space for everything you need and the bathroom was huge with nice soaps and towels. Not sure about the dining options on site bc it appears that they aren’t fully operational (?) in the kitchen yet, but there are so many wonderful places to eat within very close proximity that it isn’t a problem. Staff we met were more than welcoming! we had a lovely in this beautiful college town!

Love the history of this unique place! Staff and service was great. Room setting was perfect. With that said, The walls are a little thin. Easy to hear your neighbors when they are partying til wee hours.

This was the first time my husband and I visited Granville, Ohio. The town is quaint, and has the historic vibe we were hoping for. The shops were in walking distance from the Buxton Inn. Everyone that we encountered was friendly! The Buxton Inn did not disappoint. There was plenty of historical items to look at. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay.

Comfy and cozy! Staff is excellent. Plenty of places to eat and little shops. As of know the restaurant in the hotel is not open, from the fire, but there are plenty of places within walking distance.

Hotel checkin ends at 9pm. No staff available after 9. We got delayed on our drive from Boston- horrible traffics because of road construction & torrential downpours / tornado warnings New eta was 9:15pm Receptionist did she checked with manager and they could not help us out- we’d lose out room/ Monday I called Mgr and got voicemail so called to book another hotel (had to pull pdf highway to do so which further delayed us) Mage called after o booked other hotel to say they could stay an extra 15 minutes but it was too late

I came here before with my fiance and decided to bring my mother for her birthday and on their website it showed live music was scheduled and we looked forward to food from the Inn and music. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to rain and I told the inn keeper I was disappointed we traveled so far with no music. Once checked in the room, I received a call from the Inn and I called back twice with no answer. I walked to the lobby and the inn keeper was upstairs, I could hear him talking about me to someone saying "this mother and daughter came in and all she did was bleeping complain. How the bleep am I supposed to control the weather?" This continues for several minutes while I'm downstairs listening to it. We canceled our dinner reservations and doubt we'll be coming back.

We understand your disappointment however we have no control over the weather. It had been raining all day. We did indicate on the website that music in the courtyard was weather dependent. Unfortunately you did not seem to understand this when you checked in and was very argumentative.
