Grand Morgon

My entire stay was so pleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Breakfast was perfect, rooms were very clean and accessible, staff was great, the location was fabulous. My ONLY issue was that the internet was very spotty and difficult, which is very inconvenient for modern travelers. When I brought it up I was told the issue was being investigated, but it persisted for the three days we stayed there.

The staff are lovely and try to answer all of your questions. They even played along as I tried to speak French. They will let you store your luggage, if you arrive early or are leaving late. The location is perfect. It is a straight 800 metre walk from Avignon Centre train station. You are 100 metres from the main square and 250 from the Palace of the Popes. The breakfast is very nice. It is buffet style with fresh bread and pastries, juice, yogurt and a nice coffee machine that makes many types of drinks. The rooms are tired, but the beds and bedding is very comfortable. It’s an old French hotel, so the elevator is tiny and there are lots of stairs. A genuinely nice spot.
