The panoramic views are spectacular & ever changing. The sunrise over the Mesa makes the morning hangout on the porch a great way to start the day. Just as impressive would be watching the changing colors on the Bookcliffs while maybe grilling during the sunset. Hiking and biking trails surround the house with access to the lunch Loops Trails nearby. The house has an open feeling, with beautiful stone and woodwork. There is plenty of room for you, your friends & family on the 1,200 square foot concrete patio (with an 8 person hot tub) overlooking the Grand Valley. The private backyard features a covered sitting area and an outdoor shower complete with dual shower heads and hot water. A large laundry/mud room offers safe storage for bikes and other outdoor equipment. Recent updates include switching from an evaporative cooler to zoned mini split air conditioning. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plastic wrap, paper towels..even the bathroom had soap, shampoo...suer convenient! The downside was there was some exposed wires/insulation in the ceiling, missing baseboards, rickety/non-existent railings, small holes in the floor/tile, mismatched paint. We loved staying at this getaway in the mountains of Grand Junction for our Christmas vacation! We were not able to be with family this year but this felt like a home away from home. The host was very gracious and met us when we got there to give us an awesome tour of the property. The hot tub was functional, luxury, and ready to go when we arrived. The place was very well stocked - the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare Christmas dinner, including utensils, spices, and cookware. The fire pit outside also had lots of firewood and kindling for us to use. The views were absolutely beautiful and the secluded area made for a very romantic trip. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom got dark so we could take naps throughout the day! The TV had many streaming services and we enjoyed many movies on the comfortable sofas. There were also fireplaces inside and a gas grill outside that we didn’t even use, but would like to try on a future visit! Our puppy also really loved running around and getting outside where he had lots of room to roam. Overall we had the best time and this place really made our Christmas special.
