It is almost a boutique hotel with lovely room decor and finishes with a warm tropical ambience. Nice location on a small attractive strip of beach and a great pool. The staff are amazing and certainly an improvement on when I last visited in 2016\. The only slight disappointment is the main restaurant where the buffet breakfast is only acceptable and not the vast range and variety of the larger hotels but the dinner buffet is a let down. The salad selection is poor and the mains are not great and lacking in variety and poorly prepared and served. Some small could be improved. Great location for access by foot to Grand Baie. Just the right amount of sunbeds by the pool and on the private bit of beach. Free waterports - kayaking, paddle board, snorkeling and glass bottomed boat trip. Enjoyed the breakfast, other food was ok. (Recently?) renovated in a beautiful colonial style but there were some small things in our room which could have had more care taken over. Had been cleaned in a hurry for our check-in so a fee things were dusty and there was a wet cleaning cloth left just inside the door. Service was mostly good and all the staff were super friendly but just a touch too slow at times. Gave us a packed breakfast for our early flight but the sandwiches were stale. We had a privilege room which was lovely, close to the pool/reception and thankfully meant we weren’t disturbed by the bar/restaurant next door. The staff were in the main really nice and friendly but often quite slow/disorganised. Drink orders sometimes took forever to arrive, something was forgotten at least half the time, the wrong drink delivered etc. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style and I found it quite off putting that the food is uncovered when there are a lot of flies and birds in the restaurant area. A few people we spoke to (us included) had dodgy tummies for a couple of days. Lunch was a la carte and better. The cost of drinks and food for those not on all inclusive is extortionate meaning the hotel bar was pretty dead in the evening. Some of the evening musical entertainment was brilliant (the band of 3 particularly). ##### Harry Stayed 5 nights in Feb 2024 ### 4/10 Poor #### Jeff 9 Mar 2025 Liked: Staff & service Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities Stayed here March 2025 for business. The pictures of the rooms online look nothing like the actual rooms. We booked a family room with the separate seating area and double beds. We got an approx 300sq/ft room with one queen bed and a hanging bamboo curtain separating two single beds - they showed us the other options which frankly were even worse. I cannot stress enough how shockingly inaccurate the online advertisements of this hotel are. We did not have hot water for most of the week. There were cockroaches in the bathroom regularly. The common areas are fairly nice and the food at the buffet is acceptable but nothing to write home about. The bars are rarely tended, so be prepared to typically wait 5-10 mins for drink service while they track down a bartender. To call out a couple positives: the staff were very nice and we had one dinner at the Lobster Restaurant on the beach which I would rate fairly highly. Overall, not a great experience and not what I would expect for $250 /night. I would not stay here again, the quality does not warrant the pricetag. Finally, be cautious when you checkout. They sneak a "charity charge" on your invoice without calling it out (\~$25). The welcome we received from the staff was nothing short of amazing – warm smiles, gracious greetings, and a sincere eagerness to make us feel right at home. The check-in process was one of the most intimate and pleasant we’ve ever experienced. Rather than feeling transactional or rushed, it was relaxed and personalized, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. We appreciated the attention to detail and the thoughtful way everything was explained to us. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff continued to impress us with their friendliness and professionalism. Whether we were passing by reception, dining, or simply relaxing on the property, we were always met with warm greetings and helpful attitudes. It’s clear that the staff take real pride in creating a positive experience for guests, and it made a big difference in how enjoyable and relaxing our time was. It was a shame we weren’t offered early check-in as we arrived at 10am, and although check-in was 2pm, our room was not ready until 5pm as there was a mix up. However, once in our ‘privilege’ room, we were very impressed with how beautiful, modern and spacious it was. It was cleaned to a high standard every morning and we had a turndown service each evening. We loved the different towel art! It was obvious that the hotel was not finished when we arrived, furniture and plants were missing, and minor work was taking place across the duration of our stay. By the end of our stay, the finishing touches were almost complete, and the hotel and its decor throughout looked absolutely stunning. We were also very impressed with how clean the entire hotel was. The infinity pool and private beach were picture perfect. Fresh beach towels were provided each day on the sunbeds. The dining room was spacious and had amazing sea views. We felt very safe in the hotel as it had plenty of security. Being able to go on the glass bottom boat, use the kayaks and use the stand up paddles was amazing - thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious buffet breakfast which had so many options, as well as the drinks selection, fruit bar and evening entertainment. The hotel had so many staff available at all times and they were very friendly and chatty. La struttura è immersa in parco tropicale con una bella piscina con vista su Grand Baie, una delle migliori località di Mauritius dove è possibile fare shopping ed anche passeggiare la sera. L’hotel offre la possibilità di praticare svariati sport acquatici molti dei quali gratuiti. C’è anche una piccola palestra, un campo per giocare a bocce, tavoli da ping pong e la possibilità di noleggiare delle bici. La cucina è internazionale a buffet, come anche la colazione: entrambe sono molto ricche e complete; per i più romantici, c’è anche la possibilità di cenare a lume di candela direttamente sulla spiaggia del resort (cosa che consigliamo vivamente di fare). L’intrattenimento serale prevede musica dal vivo, alcuni spettacoli di danza locale e la possibilità di sorseggiare un drink al bar “La Crique” direttamente sulla spiaggia godendosi un meraviglioso tramonto. Le camere sono ben spaziose e complete di televisore, frigo bar e asciuga capelli, dotate anche di comodi ventilatori a soffitto in alternativa all’aria condizionata che è comunque disponibile. Jättefint poolområde med en poolbar där du också kunde äta lunch. Liten strand och lite vassa stentrappor ner till vattnet men fin botten och ljuvligt vatten. En del solsängar i mindre bra skick men de byttes ut under vår vecka så jättebra! Frukostbuffen jättefin och fanns allt. Vi åt lunch några gånger och jättegod mat dock kanske lite onödigt dyr men är ju ofta så på hotell. Bra läge med gångavstånd in till Grand Baie med många restauranger! Fanns även ett gym som var fräsht.
