Privately owned villa owned by Irish couple Jimmy and Cathy who have lived on the Island for 26 years The apartmentoffered comprises of the entire ground floor of the villa but is totally self contained and independent of the villa.Conveniently located in a rural area of Granadilla de Abona just fifteen minutes from the Airport. Very quiet beautiful views private heated pool orchard and private patio.The pool is private until 10.00am but is for the exclusive uninterrupted use of guests after that for the rest of the day.. just a short distance from the resort s of Golf del Sur, El Médano, Los Cristianos and Las Américas.Hire car recommended. The apartment is superbly equipped and has DVD player, Music Centre, VCR player and Satellite TV (English, Spanish and German.

the property and owners were brilliant. we wanted somewhere quiet and private, far from the madding crowd. The hosts were brilliant ... there when we needed them ... otherwise almost invisible.
The company VRBO are however a complete disgrace. Their customer service does NOT exist in any meaningful way. They have no complaints procedure and treated both guests and hosts in a terrrible manner.
Book and enjoy your holiday but not through VRBO
Wonderful garden and pool in beautiful mountain location
In January 2024 we had a lovely week at Jimmy and Cathy's apartment. They are great landlords who make a real effort to ensure people are enjoying their holiday.
The garden with views across the valley and hills was a highlight of the holiday for us, especially when we were there to see the spectacular sunsets. The pool is also idyllic.
We found the accommodation clean and having two bathrooms and two bedrooms for the price charged is very good value, let alone the amazing garden and pool. The kitchen isn't modern, but Cathy had clearly spent ages making sure all sorts of equipment and items were there for people e.g. for picnics as well as cooking.
Jimmy and Cathy gave us a remote for their entrance gate so we could park our car on their private land right outside our apartment. Anyone staying in this apartment would need a car. We recommend avoiding Budget/Avis (offered by BA when you book a flight with them) because they are located a bus journey from the airport. There are plenty of car hire companies in the airport such as Autoreisen etc which is a lot more convient.
Overall, we would highly recommend choosing Cathy and Jimmy's apartment for your stay on Tenerife.
Jimmy and Cathy were delightful hosts who made us feel very welcome. They were around to answer our questions but respected our privacy. The villa was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything needed for self catering. There were two outdoor eating spaces which we used at different times of day. The heated pool with sun terrace was a great asset, especially as we had very hot weather. Pool towels were provided. Although we initially found it difficult to locate the villa, Jimmy came to our rescue and drove down to show us the way, with a handy red sign and a water tower marking the start of the one way road leading to their house. An electronic security gate gave added protection for us and our hire car, which we parked on site. A car is essential here. We appreciated being so close to the town of Granadilla where there is an excellent Mercadona supermarket with parking. It was easy to access the coast either direct, or via the TF1 motorway, and from the villa we were already part way on the route up to Teide.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa and would highly recommend it to those who enjoy a bit of seclusion but also easy access to nearby places. A big thank you to Cathy and Jimmy for their kind hospitality.

A lovely retreat in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is provided In the apartment. Fabulous host and friendly neighbours. A bit of a trek to the supermarket and beaches so a hire car is recommended if walking a half mile uphill to the bus stop is a problem. We felt very happy and relaxed there.

Aardige behulpzame eigenaresse. Complete keukenuitrusting. Zelfs allerlei strandspullen waren aanwezig. Top zwembad! Afgesloten parkeerplaats op het terrein.
Alles ist wie beschrieben. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, Check-in hat unkompliziert geklappt. Küche ist mehr als gut bestückt, aber es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine. Fön, Bügeleisen, Waschmaschine und sogar Waschpulver vorhanden. Ein Mietauto ist erforderlich, da fussläufig nichts vorhanden ist. Aber es gibt einen großen Supermarkt in Grenadilla an der Hauptstraße (8 Min. Autofahrt). Es ist sehr ruhig, wunderbar erholsam und man genießt eine schöne Aussicht am Pool. Der Pool ist sehr groß und war im Dezember warm genug zum baden. Es gibt am Pool eine Außendusche. Man kann im Garten einen Gasgrill nutzen, wenn man möchte. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We enjoyed our mini break. The accommodation is nice and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend a car if going as there are no shops within walking distance. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful break it’s the perfect spot.

Vacances à TENERIFE
Très bon séjour chez Cathy et Jimmy. La location est idéalement placée pour rayonner dans l’île. Quel bonheur de se retrouver au calme le soir sur la terrasse après avoir bougé toute la journée. Jimmy et Cathy sont très arrangeants (heures d'arrivée, de départ ...).
En résumé, on recommande vivement !!!
