Amazing views, beautiful restaurant and lounge facing the bay. Breakfast overpriced but good. Room nice and comfortable. You can use the wellness facilities: fitness equipment, pools, locker room after checkout. Locker room has interior whirlpool, steam room and sauna. Nice locker room amenities. Beautiful old building. Lots of history. Most staff very nice. Waited a long time to check-in. I politely asked if an upgrade was possible since Expedia said this was a perk, if available. I’d messaged in advance about the upgrade but didn’t hear back. In the car over, I saw many King+ rooms available (some of them now cheaper than my pre-purchased, nonrefundable 2 double bed room overlooking the HVAC system). Without skipping a beat the host says: they’re sold out, sorry. I preferred the truth: they couldn’t or wouldn’t upgrade me. It’s fine, I got what I paid for. But the lie left me with a bad impression, especially after waiting so long to check-in. Huge property, no map or overview provided so good luck with that. 3 pools: 2 are lap pools and the 3rd was dirty, knee-deep and lukewarm. I stood in that for about a minute. One lap pool was giving swimming lessons to kids and the other had people swimming laps. One outdoor hot tub: filled with kids. Children running around everywhere both days I visited the pool area. The spa had closed within weeks of my visit. My room was next door to kids who seemed to be bouncing a ball against the wall. Not a 5-star experience for me.

It's literally just North of the 580, with several shops and conveniences nearby, which made everything easy during my stay. The owner is super responsive which was nice as a very late arrival. The house it outlined with lighting, also making it nice for a late arrival. It feels safe and well-kept, Overall a comfortable and convenient place to stay in.
