Search Chalets in Goree Island

If you're looking for a hotel in Dakar, this is your best choice. The Wakola team -- particularly Mr Diallo and Florentin (at the restaurant -- are the kindest, most generous, and most welcoming hotel staff I've ever experienced. The hotel is clean and beautiful, and has everything you could possibly need. Mr Diallo goes well out of his way to help you, including answering any questions or making any arrangements on WhatsApp beforehand. The free breakfast is wonderful, and dinner at the rooftop...

The hostel is amazing. It was clean, well decorated and a true reflection of the Black culture. The roof top was peaceful, full of nature and the view was amazing both in the daytime and the night. The staff were polite, respectful and helpful. The only con is that on Expedia the driving time was advertised as 40 minutes when it’s an hour drive. Would I return to the single room I booked with my Gambian partner? Most definitely. I had a great time.

Excellent!!!!

Had a nightmare taxi journey from airport to Fadidi House, but the staff and Boucar (owner) made me feel at ease. The place has a family vibe and they make sure you’re happy and feeling the positive vibes! Rooftop area is sublime and I slept well in a room that had a private balcony. Breakfast was continental style, I bought some bagels when out so I could make my breakfast a little heavier as I was out on tours and activities everyday 🙈 Thank you again 🙏

excellent facilities and service. hard to think of how it could be bettered. it helps to reserve a place for the sunday buffet lunch as this can get crowded.

The evening staff at reception and especially Mohamed made my stay perfect. They were so helpful in many ways such as finding me a taxi for a decent and honest fare. The day time staff at reception seemed less helpful. Not as welcoming and not recommending reasonable taxi fares. Mohamed was exceptional though. Super friendly and also the evening staff who helped me connect my laptop to the WiFi and made me complimentary drinks.

Hotel was very good with very large rooms. Room were clean and hotel was very quiet compared to the vibrant streets of Dakar. I used to stay in the center of Dakar but this was quite lovely. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly but need to be more engaging to guests. Breakfast was good but need improvement. Coffee station was almost empty and I can have only one cup for 3 times I went for breakfast. Besides it was all good and will love to stay there again.

Clean room , great and polite staff , amazing scenery

staff, amenities room cleaning every thing was perfect. I recommand rooms and suites in front of the sea.

Hotel well maintained and in excellent central position for visiting Goree Island and African Civilization Museum. Breakfast was well provided for, staff helpful. Small niggle - though I booked a standard room it did say it came with balcony and it felt somewhat claustrophobic without one. I was too tired to mention this to staff on first day and as I had only booked for a few days I let it ride.

This is an excellent hotel where they strive to maintain very high standards. The staff are particularly pleasant and always call you by name . I will recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

Our Family Room could use a little refreshing, but aside from that, our stay was absolutely perfect. The breakfast and lunch kitchen teams were exceptionally kind and attentive, and the reception staff were equally welcoming and professional. I also needed to work during my stay, and the internet connection was excellent — fast, stable, and very reliable, which made a real difference. Food was also diverse and very good. I have stayed in many Novotel properties, particularly across Europe, and...

I cannot rate this place highly enough. First of all the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The room was great, good shower, nice size, fridge and kettle, both much appreciated. Perfectly located for the places I wanted to visit in Dakar. Loads of fresh produce at breakfast, including a very tasty bean dish. The pool area was a perfect oasis from the business of down town Dakar. Loved it!

Nice hotel with great pool and restaurant close to the diplomatic quarter, rooms are a little dated but comfortable and the staff are excellent.
