Thank you for the 4/5 review. We agree that the hotel certainly does have character. We apologise for the state of your room. All rooms & carpets are currently going through a professional clean. As the hotel is historical & heritage listed, any upgrades or refurbishment is a process. We have made not of the changes you have mentioned in your feedback. The hotel is a 'green' hotel which is advertised throughout the hotel and in each & every room. As advertised, room service is available but at the request of the guest. If no request has been received, housekeeping will not enter the room to clean. We apologise this was not explained further.We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us & look forward to your next visit.
