For a budget motel this is worthy of 4 stars. The front desk staff were very friendly & sweet. The rooms are average but clean & the bathrooms could use new faucets but it was great for one night!

The staff at Mary’s Motel was especially kind and attentive. He helped us to arrange for a pet-friendly room last minute - even though I thought I had specified this via my Expedia booking it wasn’t directly communicated with the hotel. He also checked in on us to see if we had lost our cellphone in the hot tub room - it wasn’t ours but that level of care was exceptional! Highly recommend for a quick stay when passing through Golden.

We arrived at the motel very late, so we didn't have a chance to use the hot tub. The outdoor pool was drained. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable. Some bath towels had visible stains even though they had been washed. The location is very convenient. The staff members were friendly.

The staff were wonderful, location is great. It’s an older motel that needs a facelift. Driving through this town all of the hotel parking lots were not that full and yet the rates are $300–$500 a night. It’s crazy. Mary’s was &180 but in reality worth about $100-$120

Mary’s is a decent Motel in Golden with easy access to the river, shopping, dining and the hiway. Very friendly staff. Clean property with basic rooms which are also very clean. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker all work properly. Beds definitely need an upgrade. Both indoor and outdoor pool were not available but there is a small hot tub and sauna.

The room was very tidy and well organized. Wish there were more instructions about where amenities were (ice, sauna, etc.) Pool was closed for renovations. Overall, a classic motel feel where they do a good job of keeping things up to date or moving in the right direction.

I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi during my stay. I called the front desk three times for assistance, but unfortunately, no one was able to resolve the issue. The hot tub area did not appear to be clean, which was disappointing. The room itself was nice, and the location was convenient. The view from the room was also beautiful. However, although the room was booked for four guests, the amenities were provided for only two people.
