"The Guest House in Carthage is your basic 1960’s Motel that has been renovated with updated interiors and a good kiss of maintenance on the outside. Everything was clean. Nothing was particularly special, but it was what I needed near the end of a long motorcycle journey. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, kind, and polite, even lending me his carport to protect my bike from the elements and provide a modicum of security. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to a friend as an inexpensive place to lay their head for the night."

"Pretty interesting place to stay. The Caboose offered everything that my wife and I would need. Check in was very easy as was the check out process. AC kept up with the 100 degrees outside. We did not need to use the kitchen, but it seems stocked with items that we could have. Was a great conversation piece and a unique place to stay. There are two units there, the caboose and also a passenger car."

"The cabin itself was wonderful—clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was communication. We didn't receive the door code until we contacted the host the night before our arrival. I also asked for her phone number in case we had any problems. She provided the phone number but said she would not answer the phone if it was late at night. We decided to arrive early to make sure everything was in order. When we became lost on the way to the cabin, our call wasn't returned for about 30 minutes which is a long time when you're lost. Since the cabin is in a rural area, more timely communication during check-in would have made the experience much less stressful. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay."
