We had to carry 30kg suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. These suitcases were dragged down the stair case and 3am for an early morning flight and woke people up. We could hear people in the other rooms and their TVs. We had maintenance people knock on our door early in the morning to service the air conditioning that we were not expecting. The pool was dirty. The walls and curtains were filthy. Nice on the outside but extremely disappointed with the inside. A torn cushion on the the sofa bed, no mattress in the sofa bed?? Wobbly table and unstable chairs, the curtains were dirty, faded and wouldn’t open properly among other things. The decor was unappealing, it seemed that management wanted to renovate but with no money? Very poorly decorated. The public areas around the pool are well looked after. The room was well equipped. However I guess I must have misread the website, as I thought it said “serviced weekly”. One website says “ limited housekeeping” it was generally clean when I arrived I stayed for 3 weeks and no one came to clean, ever. There was a spoon in the cutlery drawer which had congealed food on it from a previous occupant. The stove top, which needed cleaning, shed rust every time I used it. The bathroom was filthy, hair all over the place, mirror was not cleaned and there were poop smears on the toilet seat. We had to ask for a vacuum to clean the place. Once we cleaned everything, it was fine and comfortable. Walkable location to Surfers Paradise. Apartment living is close to neighbors. Furniture is well used. Most things work with a bit of imaginative effort.
