Top Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway Hotel Reviews
The White Hart Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Good sized clean room with a very comfy bed. Nice bar & restaurant in great location."
Outbak Shepherds Hut - sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
10/10 Excellent
"The Outbak shepherds hut was a lovely well equipped hut in a very peaceful location. The trains occasionally coming by was lovely and added to the idyllic scene. It felt very private but not too remote and not far rfom local towns if we needed anything. The hut itself is very clevery designed to give storage and space for relaxing indoors if the weather should not allow you to sit outside. We had wonderful weather so we were able to make use of the hot tub outside and the spacious decking area."
Buckland Manor
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at the Buckland Manor, the property was very clean & front desk staff especially helpful. We will return!"
Cosy Cotswold Cottage - Penny Cottage - pet friendly - sleeps 2
10/10 Excellent
"We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the property door. It was clean and well appointed, and modern in every important respect while still maintaining its historic origins. Bed comfort and bathroom faciliries are very good and the location could not be better with so much within easy walking distance - great pub/restaurants, grocery stores, castles, historic buildings, and the long term parking lot. The internal stairs could be a problem for mobility for some folks."
The Lion Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great manager who is very helpful and went far beyond his duties to make us feel welcome."
Stone Cottage, Stanton - Woodburner, walk to pub
10/10 Excellent
"This was our second stay in Stone Cottage. Always provides comfort with all the facilities you need and a beautiful garden space. It was particularly lovely to have the cool of the stone cottage in such incredibly warm weather nor was it too warm at night. Still find both the job and oven difficult to operate though! And I like a hard pillow but the ones in the main room are oddly shaped and uncomfortable."
Dove Cottage beautifully restored Tudor cottage sleeps 6 or 7
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property, great friendly communication from host. Very welcoming and really helpful to have all the little essentials provided, like tea towels/washing up liquid, toilet roll. We appreciated the cold water in the fridge too after a very hot drive!"
Artisan Hall: 4BD Stunning Grandeur in Cotswolds
10/10 Excellent
"Eight of us (Welsh and Americans) stayed for five days, including a two-year-old. It was magical! The home is sprawling and the grand hall is grandeur personified. It was also such a fun house, with costumes and games and books and delightful artwork everywhere. The great hall is the size of a swimming pool with soaring ceilings. Also a hammock! The home is located in a small village where we met several friendly residents who recounted its history as the village hall. There are several seating areas in the front garden and an expansive lawn. The house is quirky and untraditional, definitely not made for those who are seeking something typical. But if you, like us, want something you will marvel at and remember forever, this place is for you!"
Dumbleton Hall
10/10 Excellent
"Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. The drinks were delivered and by way of an apology they were on the house. Things happen in any business but I do feel it's how these things are handled which matter. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable but we were surprised there was no mirror in the bedroom at all. I would've liked to have sat down in the room to get ready for the evening but had to use the bathroom, which is probably just an oversight and hopefully will be rectified. The addition of spa facilities would be welcome and befitting of such a gorgeous location. It is a bit off the beaten track and I'm sure a spa would only add to the appeal, along with offering weddings as it is ideal for that too. We will be back."
