"We really enjoyed our stay at the Yorktown Cottage! The decor was beautiful, the home was spacious and comfortable for four adults, and the location was fantastic. Being within walking distance of Yorktown Beach was a huge plus! We loved strolling down to listen to the live music one evening.The only downside was the bathroom setup. While there are two full bathrooms, only one actually has a shower. The second has a very large soaking tub, which was difficult to get in and out of and wasn't practical for our group since none of us are bath people. That left four adults sharing one EXTREMELY small shower, which made getting ready a bit challenging. If you're okay with baths, it may not be an issue, but if you prefer showers, be prepared for a very tight space.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the cottage for its charm, location, and comfort...just keep the shower situation in mind when booking."

"We had a lovely weekend stay at the Inn at Warner Hall. The estate and grounds are beautiful, right on the river; service was exceptional, dinner and breakfast were very good, everything was immaculately clean with luxurious amenities in our room. Upon arrival, there were chocolate covered peanuts from a local peanut company in our room, stainless steel water bottles for us to keep, and luxury bath/body products for our use. Coffee service was delivered to our room each morning at the time of our choosing, which we enjoyed each morning on the upstairs porch. Such a serene experience. We definitely felt pampered during our stay and can't wait to visit again in the future."

"Very good for the price. While the home well water may be drinkable , visitors should know it has a strong unpleasant metallic taste and smell. It is also slightly colored in a clear glass, and it had clearly left brown colored residues in the toilets making them look very unclean especially the toilet upstairs. Home and Kitchen need to be better equipped, an electric kettle is advertised but was not seen anywhere. A basic hair dryer would have also been nice to find in the each of the full bathrooms. The floor plan advertised in the pictures is misleading because one set of stairs is locked off and can’t be used to leave the room. In order to go downstairs from the bigger room with the futon and from the room with the single bed, you would have to walk through one of the other two rooms to get the stairs, disturbing their privacy. There are a series of small steps throughout the home between rooms, while a wheelchair might be able to tackle them they are a big tripping hazard for elderly seniors in our group. As other reviews have mentioned there were ants in the kitchen. While we did not allow these issues to ruin our stay, they would have been nice to be aware of going into it for future guests/stays The biggest plus is the view and location."
