Absolutely stunning location and exactly what we hoped for. Oasis nestled in the heart of wine country but secluded and private. Really a gem! Highly recommend. Thank you!
We were a group of six ladies from Spain and Mexico and we had an amazing time. The house is beautiful, exactly like the photos, or even better. It’s decorated with a lot of elegance, and every detail was carefully thought out to welcome us. We used the pool and shared unforgettable moments that we will cherish dearly. We might come back next year because we’re already eager to return to that spectacular house.
Catia and Mike helped us with all our questions immediately,. The best!"

This property is even more beautiful in person than the photos. The setting is peaceful, magical, and truly special. However, future guests need a much clearer description of the road and access conditions before booking. The access road is essentially a winding one-lane road serving multiple properties, with blind turns, steep drop-offs, and narrow bridges without guardrails. There is no way to know whether another vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction, and visibility is extremely limited throughout much of the drive. We were a group of five traveling with luggage, so naturally we rented a larger SUV. We also learned after arrival that Uber and Lyft do not service the property. To enjoy the area, we hired a wonderful local driving service during the day for our wine tasting plans. Even so, the road conditions significantly impacted our stay. We canceled evening dinner reservations because we did not feel comfortable driving the road after dark, and rideshare services were not available as an alternative. The property itself is stunning. However, had we understood the true nature of the road and transportation limitations beforehand, we would not have booked this property for this particular trip.
The home was every bit the beauty it was shown to be online, full of charm and comfort. I am forever grateful for the family time and new memories we made over this past weekend. This gorgeous home was perfect for 6 people. The hosts are gracious and very responsive- great communication! I highly recommend.
We loved our stay at Villa Gaia! The pool was absolute heaven. Glen Ellen is a sweet little town and close to many wine tastings. Easy access into Sonoma and Napa as well.
Hosts were excellent and very responsive! I would definitely recommend staying here!
The home and location were beautiful, and the hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would have loved a few more items on hand that are typically found at VRBOs (soap, shampoo, wash cloths, Kleenex, cooking oil), but those are minor complaints. Our first 24 hours were a bit rough (especially at this price point) in terms of how HOT the house got without A/C or sufficient fans during a very high temperature week. We also were awakened at 5:30 a.m. by jackhammering on the farmland and a crew of 10-15 men walking around the property. It was not disclosed to us that they'd be there and it definitely startled us as three women staying alone at the house. I think all of our little "gripes" about our stay could have been resolved if we'd just known to expect them ahead of time. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives and we loved many aspects of the property. The house itself is beautiful and made for a nice place to relax during our time in Sonoma County. (Note: The road up to the house takes a solid 7-10 mins from the highway turnoff. I'd definitely recommend AWD on the bumpy bits! We were glad we had a Jeep!)
