Great nights' sleep & good location

Posted 14-Sep-2017
Beds very comfy - combined with the blackout curtains, we had a great night's sleep! Room clean. Hotel staff friendly. Good central location. We skipped the hotel breakfast and instead went to the Singl-end cafe near by.

Simply Superior

Posted 09-Sep-2017
Pros: See detailed description
Cons: Can't think of a thing
Location: Centrally located in exciting Glasgow
Clean, comfortable, quiet, modern, centrally located, with available parking - there is nothing not to like about this hotel! Add in warm cookies upon arrival (and generously, at other times), and it becomes obvious that this hotel is making every effort to stand out -- and is succeeding! We feel so very lucky to have visited Scotland, even in remote and monumental areas it is a stunningly beautiful place. And the people are spectacular! Isn't Scotland supposed to have its dour folks? We didn't meet any of them on this trip. Everyone was cheerful, out-of-their-way friendly, helpful, so positive, so up. But even so, the woman at the front desk of this Double Tree really stands out. She gave us so many helpful recommendations that enriched our travels in Glasgow, and beyond. After her description, we changed routes and went through Glen Coe - words fail, it was simply unforgettable. We are in her debt. In brief, we loved this Double Tree and its staff, who make it great.

Excellent hotel but parking fee is greedy. No on the front desk was really cheerful helpful and fun to deal with. Thanks to the housekeeping staff for such a clean room. They are the unsung heroes who never get mentioned.

Rooms are lovely and newly refurbished.

Posted 31-Aug-2017
Pros: Quality of rooms
Cons: Bottled water in rooms (as other Hiltons) would be good.
Location: Area a little run down, but short walk to bustling city centre
Hotel was good and modern. Pool is small. Short walk to busy area.
