"The house is private but you can see rooftops through the trees. The lake is close and there is a down ward hill to get to the water, not too steep and doable with bad knees. One really cool part of the house is there are multiple places you can escape to for alone time or having a listen to the sounds of nature on the patio, etc. the kitchen had an impressive selection of cookware and dishes. "My boys and I were looking for a nice place to go and get away from memorial weekend. The house is located close to the lake. We were able to rent a boat and have a nice day on the lake Saturday and then come back to a relaxing house for the rest of the weekend. We dealt with several severe storms. The owner was kind enough to reach out to us while we were on the lake to let us know that we were out of power, and that it should be back on soon."

"We had an outstanding time at lake barren and our stay at the cabin was incredible. The photos don’t do justice for what the cabin really looks like. We will use this cabin again when we come back to lake barren. Very clean and has lots of amenities."

"The She Shed was great. Cozy little spot. Stayed for three nights and slept great. The hosts we're awesome: helpful and hospitable. The cabin was stocked well enough that we could cook a little breakfast in the morning and head off to Mammoth Cave for some hiking during the day. Really happy I found this spot. Glamping is where it's at."

"This was an incredible place to stay. Loved the old woods (incl the drive in), the house, the hot tub, the deck, fire pit. So comfortable. So many thoughtful touches. Decor was so well done but also so inviting. Our only disappointment was the weather. Our usual m.o. in nature is to be outside for everything possible. Unfortunately, most of our visit was rainy. We had so much fun as a family playing games in the basement with the garage open, tho, enjoying the sounds of rain. Enough reprieves in...
